    Apparently

    "less healing than expected"

    actually means...

"what a fragile human being and a waste of a pick"

    _____

They are doing the right thing, holding him back now and making sure they don't compound an injury
Maybe they are, but there's no way to look at this positively. He's following a schedule and regimen that's much less gruelling than a full NBA season is, and he can't seem to get healthy.

Oh I agree that Embiid is going to have issues...just this instance wont be what knocks him out of the league.

then you can also add the Lakers too, they technically didn't draft Kobe.

but you could say Miami, since LeBron was not drafted by them.
Who really cares at the end of the day? All that matters really is what uniform he was wearing when he began his career. We're trying to identify who to give the credit to, right? Well that's the team.

Could be similar from an injury standpoint, but Embiid has a young body that can heal. Whereas I still suspect Oden is like 45 years old in real life and that's why he hasn't gotten much better over the past few years.

I agree with the young body part, but I don't know if he has the right attitude with some of the things I've been hearing.

I think this injury is chronic and will end his career like what happened with Yao. Huge guys with foot problems that aren't healing right are basically fucked.

and you also have to admit that what they've been saying about his attitude and work ethic is not exactly a good sign.

It's interesting on the one hand you have Oden, stuck in a 45 year man's body, chronic injuries who is working tirelessly to get back in shape. Then you have Embiid, in a young body, chronic injuries who likes to eat.

Yeah, it won't help, but I don't think there is anything he can do to make that foot heal. If it was possible Yao would have done it, because he tried extremely hard to keep playing, and I don't question his work ethic at all.
