What we learn from all this, is that both forums trash people who try to provide balance presentations for a trade, a great deal of the community overestimates the value of the players from the other side.

Houston requires a first round pick and small amounts of salary that may not be guaranteed to Trade

If we got TJones, that's 3 starters (DD, TJ and JV) and our 6th man (Ross) all as free agents next year with the cap jump.

I don't think we overestimate talent from other sides, but following talent closely usually just points out more flaws than anything else.

Same reason people who stay past the freshmen year tend to fall down the draft rankings. Longer and closer look at their flaws

J Wash If they there are 3 starters , that will be free agents next year plus the RFA of TRoss, all it does is to push Raptors into the Luxury Tax apron.

Last year Toronto was put against the cap. MLSE can afford to be there, no tags are necessary, additionally, the Raptors are 5th in the league in attendance and they are sharing 1/30 of 49% of the projected 7 Billion dollars for next year.

With 5 or 6 players on entry level contracts, and probably 1 player on BE and PPat at $6 Million and Cory Joseph at $7 Million totaling 26 million for 9 players, there is still 80 Million dollars to take care of the remaining 6 players.

TJones at 10 million , DD at 23 Million (argh), JV at 17 Million, KL at 12 Million, Carroll at 14.5 Million plus TRoss or 102 Million plus Ross.

Lol TJones is going for a lot more than 10M under the new cap. I'd be shocked if he got that little.

You can be shocked as much as you want to be....He was hurt last season and is a 12/6.5 man presently and his outside shot is fair.

Markieff Morris and Suns management have not spoken since the trade of his brother, and three weeks later, still no personal contact, there is a 4/32 million PF - where a trade for players would mitigate costs going forward TRoss +Ppat.

Than Tjones Salary is a non-issue and so is TRoss's salary, and JJ can than be the backup for Carroll. Tougher defensive squad at the SF position. Than your team fits the Luxury Tax for 2017 and you can draft Murray from Kentucky next year for your DD backup.

Morris is about as far from character and culture as one can get....and that is what Masai has been preaching.

Depends what kind of year he has really I'd say. Likely more than $10M, but I wouldn't say its far off if he gets injured again or doesn't really see the minutes.

Not that I've heard, such a strange Raptors-board obsession to be honest. Why wouldn't one assume they just solve their power forward "problem" by playing Capela as backup 5?

It sounds like TJ could be a Raptor with the right deal. Would love MU to convert TR into TJ without giving up first round pick.
