Should be. It's hard to find info on the D-League rules, as they are not part of the CBA, except for those parts that pertain to guys signed to NBA contracts. But yes, there should be an expansion draft.

Then this would be interesting since the Raptors can poach some uprotected D league talent from other teams. Last year the Knicks took 2 NBA D leaguers all stars from that draft.

Couldn't they just have gone with something simple and boring like Mississauga Falcons? A falcon is a type of small raptor and indigenious to GTA. I think we're going overboard with this whole Toronto '6' thing and now 905? wtf. I don't know anybody who was born and raised in Toronto that ever refers to it as "the 6", except Drake, even young kids. 905 is trying way to hard to be unique and trendy, and ends up sounding pretty lame, IMO.
