  • What is your ideal lineup?

We all complain about Casey's lineups in different situations, including things like hockey line changes and 3 guard lineups without a true centre in an attempt to "matchup" or go small. What would your ideal lineup be in situations like clutch scenarios or when we need a stop, or when we are struggling on offence. What do you guys think?

    Final 5 minutes
    Lowry-CoJo-DeRozan-Carroll-Jonas

    When we need stops
    CoJo-Ross-Carroll-Johnson-Bismack
(If ross is shitting bricks, replace him with either lowry or DD)

    Small
    Lowry-Ross-Demar-Carroll-Johnson/Pat

    Best line (in my opinion)
    Lowry-Derozan-Carroll-Pat-JV

      Starters:
      KL-DD-DC-PP-JV
      Bench:
      CJ-TR-JJ-LS-BB
      Defensive stop (traditional lineup):
      KL-DC-JJ-BB-JV
      Defensive stop (small ball):
      KL-CJ-DC-JJ-BB
      Need a three:
      KL-CJ-TR-DC-PP

      Starters should close out games.

Yes. Easily. Frankly he is small for a 3, and last year he guarded whoever the better wing was, even if that was the 2.

I think he could do it, it would be fine on most occasions because he can guard almost any shooting guard well. He will fit especially well when kd plays the 3.

Every time I see DanH replied to a thread I have to check it out. Every time I read what he wrote I agree.

This means one of two things.

              1) DanH is wicked smart and logical.

              2) I am wicked smart and logical.

I know which reasoning I'm leaning towards, and I'm sure DanH would agree.

That's a lot of situations for JJ to be used for the 3-4 min he gets.

Someone get this into a decoder ring for Dwane Casey's crackerjacks. Maybe we can subliminally brainwash him into good rotations.

Only difference is I'd say defensive stop for a traditional lineup the way the league looks right now should be KL-TR-DC-JJ-JV
And make the KL-DC-JJ-BB-JV lineup for bigger lineups like Memphis/San Antonio.

Yeah, I guess that's what I meant by traditional lineup, two true big men and two true wing players. I don't think it is as rare as all that, but I guess it's not as common as it once was either.

In Toronto its less common than 3 PG + 1 SG + anybody but JV
