When was the last time a player got 50 points and 20 rebounds?

Since 83-84, it's only happened twice: Webber went 51-26, and Shaq went 61-23.

              • For the first time in a long time, 538's projection has Nuggets and Knicks both in the bottom 7, with 34 and 33 wins, respectively.

                • So it's looking like the best we can hope for is 7th. 9th right now, just need the bucks and pellies to pass the bockers, and they're very close. Could help our own cause with the W tonight.

The real key is for the worse of the two teams to get as bad as possible. Then there is a slim chance the better team wins one of the three lotto spots, and our pick essentially jumps up into the top 5 or 6.

Yeah it's unreal. Would be crazy if we ended up getting a star talent with the pick.
Were probably due considering the hell we suffered through with Primo

Milwaukee added Novak, so expect them to make a big leap.

But seriously, they are too talented to finish worse than the Knicks.

I thought the bottom-5 was set, but Minnesota is intriguing, especially if Denver goes into a nosedive.

Philly and the Lakers are hopeless - seem destined for bottom 2.

Brooklyn is 8 games behind NY, and Phoenix is 8 games behind Denver - likely bottom 4.

Minnesota is only 5 games behind Denver - 5th worse, unless they make a run in either direction.

It still appears that 6th/7th worse is the best case scenario for Denver and NY to finish, heading into the lottery.

Denver nose dive plus KAT leading Minny to a late season surge seem entirely possible. So that takes Denver down to the 5th pick. Could Minny also overtake NY in the standings? Less likely, but possible. So 5/6 seems possible, with 5/7 much more likely. Most realistic scenario is probably 6/8, but there is enough time left in the season for me to dream. How great would it be to be guaranteed the 6th pick? Fucking amazing.

Only helps if the picks are more than 1 apart, and helps more the further apart they are. Still good chance they end up 2 or 3 apart, so the worse pick jumping up could move us up a sport or two.
