Game Notes
- The Toronto Raptors lost their last game against the Sacramento Kings on Sunday. The absences of Jonas Valanciunas and DeMarre Carroll are beginning to take their toll on the team, and these problems were exacerbated with Kyle Lowry's ejection during the second half of the game. The Raptors hope to bounce back against the Mavericks on Wednesday.
- DeMar DeRozan continues his streak of stellar play, totalling 28 points and 7 rebounds against Sacramento. Patrick Patterson was also a significant contributor with 18 points and 8 rebounds, going 4-8 from the three point line.
- Dirk Nowitzki was the leading scorer for the Dallas Mavericks who last played on Friday against the Memphis Grizzlies, pouring in 20 points to secure the victory. He was followed by Chandler Parsons with 15 points and 7 rebounds.
- Devin Harris is out indefinitely for the Mavericks with a right hamstring strain and did not play against the Grizzlies.
- The Raptors are currently living and dying by the production of their All Star back court. Kyle Lowry cannot afford to lose his composure and be removed from the game, and DeMar DeRozan must continue to produce. The bench scoring is beginning to come around now that Patrick Patterson and Terrence Ross are hitting more consistently from deep. Spacing in the starting lineup continues to be a concern, with Kyle Lowry the lone 3 point gunslinger among the five players. If Dwane Casey continues to stick to his rotations this problem will persist.
LET'S GO RAPTORS! AND MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
