Game Notes

• Following a number of rest days set aside for Christmas celebration, the Raptors meet with the Milwaukee Bucks to duke it out on Boxing Day. Both teams have won their previous games; the Raptors against the Mavericks, and the Bucks against the 76ers.
• DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry led the Raptors in scoring against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday. DeRozan dropped 28 points and Lowry put up near triple-double numbers of 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists. However, DeRozan also finished with 7 turnovers, and Lowry didn't buy me a Christmas present. Both players are probably aware of these issues and hope to make sure that they don't happen again.
• Efficiency was key for the Milwaukee Bucks when they played the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday. Each of their starters, except Greg Monroe, had a field goal percentage of over 65% during the game. (Antetokounmpo: 11-13, Parker: 8-10, Middleton: 8-9, Carter-Williams: 9-13)
• The Milwaukee Bucks are missing two of their point guards due to injury: Greivis Vasquez and Jerryd Bayless. The Toronto Raptors are suffering significant injuries to Jonas Valanciunas and DeMarre Carroll, and minor injuries to James Johnson who did not play on Tuesday. Patrick Patterson also left the game during the second half.
• The length of the Milwaukee Bucks poses a challenge to the Raptors' back court, with the ability to disrupt the flow of the offense by playing passing lanes and contesting shots effectively. At the same time, the Bucks have problems with spacing the floor properly, especially with two of their reliable shooters out with injuries. The Raptors won their last game against the Bucks and hope for the same result on Saturday.
