JV's back. First game back isn't "back", especially with a broken right hand

I remember him having trouble with Gortat in games past. Maybe things are different this time

I think Gortat was named player of the week, last week, so he's been playing pretty well. Good test for JV.

Washington is better then they were the first time we met. But they don't have Beal this time, so will have a harder time generating points on offense. I like Gortat as a better matchup for JV then Gasol though.

I'd like to see Carroll handling Wall like he did in last year's playoffs. Hopefully he's healthy enough for that challenge.

And hopefully it won't come down to a buzzer beating 3 from CoJo to finish them off.

John Wall and Gortat run a lot of PnR. Should be interesting to see how JV's PnR defence is after Chicago. Gortat doesn't shot it like Pau.

This game here has huge implications for Player of the Month. Raptors win they go 9-6 for the month and DD get POTM for December. Wiz win than they go 9-7 for the month and Wall gets it.

Than again its LBJ's b'day today. He'll probably get it.

Honestly, if Wall starts to get out of control our best option might be Ross off the bench to guard him. Ross has shown the ability to handle quick guards at times, and if he's engaged he might be our best perimeter defender.

Lowry and Joseph have been getting destroyed by opposing PGs all month.

Carroll did an excellent job on Wall in last year's playoffs. No need to put a guard on him.

Going to be a great game tonight... We get John the roadrunner Wall playing PnR with the Polish Hammer and some Dudley at the 3 point line to contend with. Think Demarre helps shut down Dudley and gets his own offensive game rolling again from the outside. Kyle and Demar get theirs and both JV n' Biz wear down Gortat and get some of their own down down low to win that matchup.

Still have a feeling it will be closer than you would think but the Raps get a W and put the "we can't put one in if our lives depended on it" memory from the Chicago game in the rear view mirror.
There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

Carroll's still just barely back from a foot injury, not sure he'll be quick enough to keep up with Wall.

Pretty sure that's a bad matchup even if he's at 100%. Only wing who should see time on Wall is Ross. Carroll should be out on Beal to beat him up and stick to him.
