  • Tbh I'm not really sure messing with the rotation right now is a good idea.

Keep 2Pat and Ross coming off the bench for now, it's working.

tyler hansbrough is shooting 67% from downtown this year. masai is an idiot for losing a sharp shooter like that.

dumb stats with no context = stupid fucking argument.
Oops, sorry guys! Should've added that Patterson attempts nearly 4 three-point attempts as well, and made 100 threes last year because this needs to be said right. It's not common knowledge that Patterson is one of the few three point shooters on the team.

      • Only 5 Raptors had a positive net rating tonight. Everyone knows which 5.

no, that wasn't the idea at all. its like you literally have no idea what context means.

the point is you're comparing two players basic stats with absolutely no regard for anything else. what roles they play. what lineups they're in. what they're strengths/weaknesses are and fit with certain lineups.

but yeah lets just arrange our lineups based on their fg%. easy peasy!

Morris has had better games than this. Calling it "game of his life" is not true.
Morris has had 1 other good game all season, 1. So yeah, game of his life.

Its just getting funny when people keep acting like Morris hasn't been productive throughout his career. This is a guy that's won a player of the month award. When the West was a lot tougher as well.

He realistically had only 1 productive season. The 2013-14 season. Only season where he has had a above average PER, above average WS/48, above 110 ORTG, 56% TS. So no he really hasn't been that productive his whole career.

This accolade is so fucking laughable, I love it's your only go to. He never even won player of the month either, yet the time frame gets longer every time you bring it up. Soon he will have won player of the decade according to you.

He won player of the week, ONCE, in 2013-14, not this season, not last season, but 2 seasons ago, as a bench player, at the very beginning of the season (Nov 4-11).

                      Sorry player of the week.

How many players of the week have any of our big man won in the last 3 years?

David Lee also won a player of the week award 2 years ago. Should that be justification for him to be our next starting PF?

I really have to provide all this for something that's so obvious.. they are both being used as spot up shooters: so I posted their shooting percentages (is that really outlandish?). Scola's a good passer/postup player but is that really being used in the starting lineup that is a negative in net rating (through 40+ games)? Nah, not really.

Then you have the fact that the Raptors are worse with Scola on both sides of the ball when he's on and are a lot better on both sides with Patterson on.. Sorry, what more context do you need? Do you watch this team play? Some of this stuff is obvious.

Yeah or we could just...you know... compare actual stats..

The fact you have to point to a weekly award he won one time in 2013 shows just how pathetic the argument for Morris is. If there was a terrible player of the week, he would have won it several times this year.

By the way, MCW, David Lee, Sullinger, and Ellis all won it that year too, maybe we should be targeting them as well.
