I re-ran a simple model (based on home/away/opponent probabilities) I used just under a month ago and it hasn't changed much.

          Projected standings:
          1. Cleveland Cavaliers 59 23
          2. Toronto Raptors 56 26
          3. Atlanta Hawks 48 34
          4. Boston Celtics 47 35
          5. Miami Heat 47 35
          6. Charlotte Hornets 46 36
          7. Indiana Pacers 44 38
          8. Detroit Pistons 42 40
          9. Washington Wizards 40 42
          10. Chicago Bulls 40 42

          This was the old projection:
          1. Cleveland Cavaliers 61 21
          2. Toronto Raptors 56 26
          3. Boston Celtics 48 34
          4. Atlanta Hawks 47 35
          5. Indiana Pacers 44 38
          6. Miami Heat 42 40
          7. Detroit Pistons 41 41
          8. Chicago Bulls 41 41
          9. Charlotte Hornets 41 41
          10. Washington Wizards 40 42

Main difference is Miami has been much better than expected with Bosh out. Also Charlotte has been winning a lot of close games.

I'd say unless Indy implodes there's a good chance the Pacers will be our first-round opponent. I like our chances in that match-up. Washington holds tiebreakers with both Detroit and Chicago, so they could possibly squeak into eighth, but I doubt they catch Indy.

Only other difference in the projection is that our pick has slipped from eighth to ninth.

I hope you're right! No Bulls at all, and MIA and CHA on CLE's side of the bracket? Nice.

I never really gave it much thought other than that the Bulls don't play Toronto again so they're going to have trouble winning any games.... The Hawks seem to be on a bit of a roll as does Charlotte and I'm still not sold on the Celtics, even though I probably should be.

This seems like a pretty fun idea:

                        Cleveland Cavaliers - 58 - 24
                        Toronto Raptors - 55 - 27
                        Atlanta Hawks - 47 - 35
                        Boston Celtics - 47 - 35
                        Charlotte Hornets - 47 - 35
                        Miami Heat - 46 - 36
                        Indiana Pacers - 45 - 37
                        Detroit Pistons - 42 - 40

I don't know the tie breakers for Atlanta, Boston and Charlotte so I just went Alphabetically since I have them getting the same record. Ideally the Pacers swap with the Pistons as I think they match up with Cleveland better and Miami grabs either the 4th or 5th seed.

Huh, just realized it...I have no sub 500 teams making the playoffs in the East this year. Nice.

The tiebreakers appear to be the same as alphabetical order anyway. You can check head to head records here: http://www.basketball-reference.com/...standings.html
