Plus, his 2nd option on offense was basically a choice between Aaron McKie, Eric Snow, or Matt Geiger, lol.

You basically tell Iverson to shoot as much as he can.
I love your sig. I'm constantly reminded of it every time I see Derozan play lol

You obviously never watched Iverson play. At least not in his prime. He was the only offensive option on the entire team. And he took them to the NBA Finals. He was a fabulous player.
And gave the Lakers their only loss of the play offs that year.

this is a good point but in the end only one of the two teams has a quitter. so i have to give these raps the edge.
Only one of these two teams have two players with 30% usage rate shooting historically low efg.

Amen. The Answer was awesome and that is undeniable.

Just my 2 cents but this Raptor team is no where close to that 2001 Raptor team. They would lose in 5. VC was a true star and the supporting cast would lock up these boys easily. That 2001 team beat a Knicks team that would also beat this Raptor team in a 7 game series.

Raps have beat an average Pacers team in 7 and are scraping by a decimated Heat team in this playoffs. I'm not seeing how anyone could be inspired by their performance so far this playoffs.

lol, he was basically scoring 30 points on 30 shots per game and it was great (no sarcasm - there was a hell of a lot more to that guy than just his shooting).

I have a feeling MixxAOR is just looking at stats and never saw Iverson play. Nothing wrong with that of course, but if you love the game of basketball as I do, I highly recommend you go back and watch some games from that season and especially some of the playoff performances. Iverson was a flawed player but was an absolute treat to watch.
Yeah watch the series with the Raptors, A.I and VC were trading baskets on either end of the floor it was a thing of beauty.

Some people here forget about other players with AI.
    Muttambo
Aron Mackie - six man of the year -
    Tyron Hill
    Jumane Jones
    Eric Snow

man, this was a very tough team, and who was the coach ?
    you say it.
Now, every coin has two sides. If current team plays Iverson's team, who will win ?
    Guess what ?
    Sixers in 4

Shaq was better that year. It was sympathy MVP
MVP isn't all about stats. Iverson got his team the #1 seed and took them to the Finals on his own. Shaq had a pretty good supporting cast around him, Kobe, Horry, Fisher, Fox and Grant.

Vince Carter's group in 6. Iirc the Philly team they took to 7 games went on to the finals, and actually took the lakers to 5. They were the only team to beat those lakers as they swept their way through the west. Another historically great team.

Allen Iverson was inefficient chucker lool
He had a 24 PER that year, only shot 42% from the field but got to the line 10 times a game and hit 82% of those shots. He was efficient enough when you factor in his charity stripe play. He was also clutch. This Raptors team would not slow him down anymore than the 2001 Raptors could.

Yea.. Iverson was a thing of beauty, despite the inefficiencies. I think what I admired the most about AI was his attitude and heart though. His 30 points on 30 shots perhaps helps to illustrate why we still loved him -- to win MVP with that level of (poor) shooting shows how much intangibles he brought to the game.

    And we nearly stopped him!

Damn man. Were you even old enough to watch Iverson back in his MVP year? or back in his prime years?

If not, you shouldn't be in this conversation.
