What value do you think DeMar has to our team without the ball in his hands?
Yeah, this is silly. DeMar is an offence initiator. We can differ on how much we want him to be a finisher versus a facilitator, but the guy exists to initiate offence.

Goes back to my original point of Diaw being a playmaker. To help DD be a more efficient player without the ball always in his hands. I think he is a better catch and shoot player than what most ppl think, this dude is money mid range. He screws his % cause he only takes contested jumpers.

If DD can incorporate Rip Hamilton's off the ball movement, this will open up the driving lane that much more. Instead of 1 on 1 all the time.

1 on 1 all the time? He was most effective in the pick and roll. We should keep using him that way.

Finding a reference to Boris Diaw in a thread about trading for Boris Diaw has turned into a game of Where's Waldo, where Boris Diaw is Waldo and DeMar DeRozan is everybody else.

Does anyone really want or expect Diaw to play 35 minutes game? Any potential effect on DD, good or bad, is being way overestimated.

It's the Murphy's Law of RR. What can be about DeMar, will be.

This is true. Diaw should be the backup if he comes here, playing 15-20 MPG and helping a bench unit that needs additional ball movement more than the starters do.

That subtitle would fit nicely right under "Raptors Republic" in the page header.

With the current roster, there's more than enough minute. With Biz and Scola not here...

At the end of the day, obviously Diaw is not going to make the Raps a championship contender. But based on what is left on the FA market and Diaw's contract...he's not a bad pick up.

                        This thread is a wrap

Diaw is headed to the Jazz for the rights to a second 2nd pick

I guess we didn't have much interest in Diaw

Jazz have the cap space for him. Raptors currently do not.
