I'd put NFL above NBA for sure. Maybe 1 or 2 guys per team are out each week for Covid. Not entire rosters like the NBA.
Not sure how much it helps, but football has the advantage of wearing lots of gear: masks, helmets, most of the body covered with uniforms, etc... basically PPE. Basketball players are wearing tank tops & shorts and wrestling nose-to-nose for rebounds.

Probably went into protocols on a close contact with a positive test that proved to be a false positive. If I had to guess.
Ya sure something like that. Just frustrating the league isn't really being clear what protocols mean and how certain players can get out and others can't. I don't need to know each players medical info obviously. But hard to wrap head around what health and safety protocols actually means.

On the LeBron case WOJ tweeted that he could return with 2 negative test in 24 hrs. Haven't seen that talked about since

That and 1 game a week so a lot less travel and contact with players not on your team. So I guess not a fair comparison.

Uh, guys, no, Precious was entered into official NBA protocols after the GOA event due to a close contact, it was not something done out of an abundance of caution by Masai or the team. He is back in official protocols again.

Official protocols do not require a player test positive. Even a close contact to a positive test means 10 days isolation.
            https://www.sportsnet.ca/nba/article...fety-protocol/

The Raptors are abiding by a Toronto Public Health directive to self-isolate for 10 days after a potential exposure. Under NBA health and safety protocols, Achiuwa would have been eligible to play due to his negative tests for the virus.

            • Precious was fully vaccinated so doesn't have to quarantine for 10 days. But if you are in close contact with someone who tested positive you have to take daily tests. But can still play and have full access to all NBA equipment, personnel, etc.

The reason he didn't play is due to Toronto's Public Health system (so not because Masai said so). Different rules for different cities (or countries in our case).

This site does a good job explaining the protocols:
                https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/bu...ty-protocols-0

What happens if a player tests positive for COVID-19?

Once a player has a positive test for COVID-19, 10 days must pass since the first positive and at least 24 hours must have passed since a fever broke. The player must return at least two negative PCR test results from samples collected at least 24 hours apart.
So Lebron fell into this category here. And so could our guys, but the NBA protocol is different from the Toronto Health protocol. So we are likely more strict here, and so our guys probably have to go through the full 10 days.. just like Precious did after being in contact with someone from the GOA event.

It's a good thing Fred's chances are going to come down to the coaches. Kyrie better get snubbed by them

Demar dominating in voting, it used to be him sitting in 10th when he played here.

                          • Just noticed that Jaylen Brown isn't on the list that Rose tweeted. He's a guard right? and he's having a great season and he plays for an iconic franchise. Weird.

Lowry is another one. Herro got more votes than Kyle. Heat Culture?

I think Boston fans are kinda pissed off at jaylen brown. Celtics under performing big time and Tatum the golden child. It's falling on browns shoulders.

                              • Why is Kyrie even eligible? He shouldn't be on the ballet with the amount of games he missed.
