We have to talk about this.
      Is this on the coach?
      Or the GM?
      Masai?

      This keeps happening. Smh

I'd have to say you could probably make a video like this for every player on our team. Just cherry pick all the worst plays and ignore the good ones.

Except that Fred dribbling a lot of time off the clock, creating no advantages and not getting easy baskets for teammates rolling to the hoop is a long-standing problem. A lot of this appears to be poor timing and missing the split-second window for the pass and Fred not wanting to risk a turnover. It's probably related to Fred's size, since those passes that look obvious from the overhead camera, likely aren't as wide open if we had a camera from Fred's point of view. That makes you appreciate what Lowry was able to do to, i.e. get his big men easy buckets and elevate scrub bench role players.

I can't believe someone came up with this LOL.

I think it's important to realize Fred is not a point guard, he came into the league as a shooting guard and was asked to fill in as the PG once Lowry left. So he's not playing to his strength when he's trying to be a playmaker, but to his credit he's done a pretty good job of it and continues to improve. 7 assists a game isn't awful.

On the bright side we have Barnes who has those natural instincts, has always played as a PG and is being groomed that way. This will eventually allow Fred to move more off ball where his shot making ability is elite.

Oh don't get me wrong, I hate when fred over dribbles. But at the same time I hate when the rest of the team stands around playing hot potatoe to no advantage too. There has to be a middle ground between attacking for an advantage and doing nothing. However that video is a hatchet job of all the worst plays, didn't see any clips of the good passes or when he did break down the defense for an open look.

                    • I'm worried fred is already playing hurt. I don't think it is a confidence he was out with "back soreness" then was back the game after Pascal got hurt. Then had to sit again for an "illness. He isn't himself. And if He is already going to play through injury less then 25% in to the year. We're screwed. Just give him a full week or 2 off to heal. He is going to be a shell of himself come playoffs again if we keep this up

Agreed. I don't think he's 100% or even close to it.

If Nick sits Fred with Pascal already out,
and Barnes potentially also injured ( and needed to sit as well ?)
that leaves him with only OG to carry the load.
That's a really tough decision to make.

Unless Birch steps up big time.

It's not fair to the other players to have fred grind his way through a season only to not be able to contribute in the playoffs cause he is banged up. What's the point of grinding everything out of fred if he isn't going to be himself in the spring. The rest of the team will suffer cause of "toughness" in the fall

I am for Nick sitting him, and Scottie.
It will be good for the team in the long run.

                                But will he? Can he?
