We should just sign Lowry at the minimum it saves us money.

They do that right after you and everyone else working in your business make the decision to give back 75% of your yearly salary so your company can have a higher stock price. Not happening eh ?

As silly as his post was, ive never liked this analogy. David west took a 90% pay cut to go to San Antonio but he'll still retire with over 100 million dollars. Read that again, 100 million dollars. So comparing joe lunchpail who's trying to keep the lights on, kids fed and retire at hopefully 65 is not the same 75% paycut as it is for an nba veteran.

But that's a tale for another day, and yes lowry and Millsap should both make as many dolla dolla bills as this capitalist world allows

          • Only way to build this team is through the draft and trades we are not signing anyone to take us to the next stage.

I think it applies but I can see what your driving at. I also love Abbas's enthusiasm.
My viewpoint on this .... is that there is nothing like someone who tips with your money.

                • No talk about the report that Miami is making anyone on their roster available?

Was expecting a couple of pages of Whiteside vs JV pages by now.

                    • The entire Heat roster reportedly on the trade market:

According to Zach Lowe of ESPN, the Miami Heat are open for business with any player on the team’s roster being up for grabs.

“Up and down the roster, literally every player,” said Lowe towards the end of his latest podcast. “Literally no one is untouchable, not even Hassan Whiteside, by a long shot.”

After the Heat had given their franchise player a $98 million contract in the offseason, it’s surprising to hear that the prized big man is far from safe.

I like a lot of what Whiteside brings as well, but if the outgoing player is JV then it's going to be tough pill to swallow. When the Raptors reach the playoffs and should Lowry/DeRozan struggle then we won't be able to break the glass and press the JV button in an emergency situation.

                        • Not that I want a losing streak, but could it be coming at a better time? If we lose to Boston it might, just a little bit, make MU sweat. He's usually so conservative that it may provide the extra push he needs to make a trade.

                          • The sense of urgency around the league will be much higher at the trade deadline. I think that's the time when it's mostly likely that he finds the best value in a trade.

Waiting for someone to suggest trading Casey for Spoelstra.
If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

Wait, weren't you the guy making comparisons using ranking in DRPM? Whiteside ranks 37th in DRPM this year.
