Presumably we try aggressively to dump Carroll and convince Kyle/Gallo/Ibaka to stick around together to form a strong competitive core with DD and JV.

Gallo's dad (who is his agent) said this: “It would be fascinating to see Danilo Gallinari with the Clippers, the Celtics or the Raptors. Teams that need a player in his role (Raptors not anymore because they have signed Serge Ibaka). Orlando would have less appeal”

Not sure how Ibaka nullifies Gallo's role though.

How much is Gallo worth? $20m or more? So like $75+m for those 3?

We have to attach an asset to DMC to trade him. I'm not so keen on that.

Yeah I'm not a fan of spending big on Gallo-Ibaka to go deep into the tax but who knows what will happen given how much chatter there is.

Maybe Masai somehow Jedi-mind-tricks Denver into taking Carroll in the deal. But given that they don't seem keen on picks per Tim Connelly I don't know if they're even a great trade partner to begin with.

If we are dumping cojos $ then I'd expect a cheaper contract or a pick. Like cory for jameer + pick swap (likely 2nd rd).

Yeah, short term Gallo would help us and it would help the cap but we might be able to get a long term asset in return if we wait til the summer. Especially if Cory plays well in the playoffs.
I'd also expect they'd want a 1st. I'd be surprised if that's the best offer. Any rumours?

Aminu is a streaky shooter but a terrific rebounder and defender. He is the 2nd ranked SF in DRPM via ESPN. He is also on a very value contract, given current state of NBA, owed just $7.3m and $6.9m over the next 2 seasons.

Come playoff time, someone has to check LBJ, PG13, and Jimmy Butler. I don't trust Carroll to be healthy and that is a tall order for Norman alone.

And don't forget in 2015 Raps were one of five teams to have an interview with Aminu when he was a FA.

Amina is a good pick up if you then look to dump Carroll and CoJo. Powell starts at the 3, Aminu is your specialist to check big wings. You shed about 15M a year in salary if those two are gone and Aminu is added. Interesting.

If Masai can turn Sully into one of Thabo or Tucker its been a great trade deadline.

I still think Raps value Cory's playoff experience. Also I think he will be a better defender with a guy like Ibaka behind him. I think Cory has been the player that's been the most effected by the depature of Biz. It's easier to go all out when you know you have support behind you.

Guys like Gallo, Chandler and Aminu are out of our price range.
I think Masai will get Tucker. He was rumoured to be interested in him last trade deadline. I think he gets him this year. I don't think he gives up a 1st for him though. Probably Sully and a second.
