      • Warriors-Pelicans should be fun 1st round matchup if everything works out for the Pelicans. If not, I wouldn't be surprised if he was traded this summer again.

Also, compared to the downward-trending play of Ibaka on an expiring contract, Cousins fully in his prime with 1.5 years may actually be safer. Not to mention that Ibaka might have his own locker room issues himself:

          .
Oh the potentially painful irony of being leery of Cousins in the lockerroom...

I am praying for our franchises sake this isnt true because I could have sworn that there were rumours that Ibaka didnt get along with KD as well when he was in OKC. I know they actually asked Ibaka about it at his presser when he first joined the Magic.

          • It's late but I'm sure on the Inside Trax(from Inside the NBAtelecast) bit DD asked if DMC was going to break his sweat and DMC said he's 'trying to get sold to Atlanta'.

Even the Kings announcer is a joke.

I don't have a very hard time imagining DMC and AD getting along fine. Sacramento is one of the most tumultuous, mismanaged teams in professional sports. The constant coaching and roster changes were a cancer for Cousins and now he can prove that he can consistently win games in a positive environment.

+1 for the Kings relocating to Seattle and renaming themselves the SuperSonics, just fire everyone in management first please and start fresh, not to mention Grant Napear and the announcing crew
SPECIAL REPORT: March 27th, 2017, it is now confirmed Lebron James has had both his back and his dignity broken by the vicious swinging right elbow of ruthless heavyweight PF and notorious bad-boy David Lee

Maybe the thought of being swindled by Masai scared him away
Because Vivek seems like a petty asshole, it's very possible that you might be right

So Knicks vs Kings, which is the more inept franchise? After this trade, I'd have to lean towards the Kings!
If Oakley, Clyde, Ewing, Starks, and Larry Johnson were getting baton beaten in the MSG by security guards, they'd probably still be a better run team than the Kings

Masai could have thrown Drake our "Global Ambassador" to the deal as well, Vivek would have taken that deal.

Drake will get beat up by ACC security one day. And internet will be happy as fuck.

                    • Not sure if masai called vivek or not but if masai did try..
How the hell do you take hield over norm..??
Vivek is by far the most craziest GM i've ever seen in a bad way..

                      • Skip to the 6:00 min. mark, Aldridge talks about the Raptors love to get Wilson Chandler. I think there's better options than an average 3pt shooter/defender who's on a $11-12M contract annually. Or we need to move Carroll which is clearly not happening...

Vivek is not the GM, and I really don't know how much blame you can put on him for this particular deal; his biggest flaws seem to be poor leadership and creating a terrible organizational decision-making structure. Vlade and the front office fielded offers and put them in front of Vivek and he had to sign off on them.

If you guys listen to the Lowe post podcast with Arnovitz from a few weeks ago, it sounds like constant palace intrigue in Sacramento. It also sounds like there are too many voices, and not all of them are fluent with the CBA.

But Lowe and Arnovitz also talk about how a former teammate said Cousins basically poisoned the locker room environment, turned every day into an exercise in managing Cousins' emotions, and sapped the energy of the team. This came with the caveat that Cousins has reportedly improved in this regard.

With all that said, Lowe said that if he was GM, he would still keep Cousins, because Cousins is simply that good.

                          • That wasn't a bad deal by the Kings. I mean it's really hard to get excellent value on a superstar trade unless your name is Ujiri.

WCS should finally get some PT. He started letting all the DNP's get to him just before Gay got hurt but now the Kings should be letting him loose to see what he can do. He was a high lotto pick only a few years ago so I'm interested in what he delivers.

Vivek was blocking all Cousins deals up until Sunday. Maybe something changed over the weekend.

All those players getting together and talking. Cousins soon to get a chance to pick his landing spot in FA... Who knows what they heard that made this trigger.
