    • The press conference was not a wise move either but he did it. I'm not a doctor with his charts so I have no idea. I've read some Philly writers that are questioning the surgery. I didn't copy the links, sorry.
Seems to me he wants out and he's giving f u to the process. I don't think it's the best way to handle it but I can see why he'd be upset.

I guess he believes he should be gifted minutes? I wouldn't call him a quality starter on a future contender. I guess Okafor draft was little overkill but u can't pass up embiid and simmons

11 (shooting over .500) and 8 with 2 blocks, 2 assists and 2 steals as a 21-year-old? Gifted minutes, no, but come on, if you can't see potential there as at least a "quality starter"...

          • I think it depends on what qualities you want in a starter for your team.
Yeah, they gotta play Embiid. He might be top 5 player.

            • What do you guys think of richaun holmes? He could be a good replacement for pat next yr at $1m. His shooting is coming along. Good rim protector. His per 36 is solid.

If Noel thinks that divebombing his overall value (let alone his trade value) in the last year of his rookie contract is a good idea, then I don't think I'd want him on the team regardless of his talent level and potential. The safer bet is that his knee is not pristine.

As much as I wanted PJ to stick after we originally drafted him, he's not the player we need to push past Cleveland. A trade for any assets would be a lateral move at best.

Yes, the knee does need to get "cleaned up" sometimes. Kinda strange to do that the first day of training and not in the summer.
I think he assumes he's getting at least mozgov money and waiting for the trade deadline. He'll get a few months after the deadline to showcase himself for a new contract.

                              • Richaun Holmes numbers looks impressive per 36 but he is playing 15 mpg on 76ers... I don't think he is going to bring anything other that Siakam already offers. And shooting 5/10 from 3 isn't exactly big sample. His rebounding is really skewed, because he play 95% of his minutes at C.
Casspi is no better this season (although he is historically good 3pt shooter and below average defender), he even doesn't play for Kings recently, although that might change now when they're giving up on Boogie at C.

League depth at PF is the real deal here, we have 7 elites (AD, Green, Griffin, Milsap, Love, Porzingod, Aldridge) and a lot of mediocre specialists like Patterson, Marvin Williams, Anderson that are either well rounded or better than average in one category but suffer in another area. I hoped that Hawks won't be that good this season and would shop Milsap in rebuild mode, but he is as untouchable right now as other 6 guys I mentioned. To get any of them it would require gutting the team and leaving it with even bigger holes. Lateral moves to get other average PF probably would only disrupt chemistry and we really need stretch one to play to our strengths.

Guy from the last night jumps out though - Gallinari. Matching salaries is first challenge - CoJo + PPat/Sully does that, than we need to sweeten the deal with at least one of our 1st round picks. This leaves us without backup PG until Delon comes back so this won't materialize until January. Also CoJo has been terrible so far, that may lower his value so Denver gives hard pass to trade. Still there aren't many game changing and realistic trades on sight.

Other options like Jared Dudley (that one really makes sense, above average 3pt shooter and defender, plays in lottery bound team, despite being 6-7 played over 90% of his minutes this and last season at PF, rebounding is issue here though), Thadd Young and Trevon Booker unlock on 14th of December so if we trade someone this season that might be the date.
