Can we take a minute and appreciate how $#$#% fantastic it is for the Toronto Raptors to be generally recognized as a top 5 team in the league? How many of the past years would we be looking at a team ranked in the bottom third and already be mired in weeks of debate about the upcoming draft? Damn.
Actually, we'd be wringing our hands over the upcoming draft because, 2 years ago, the then-GM had made a trade with another team that included swapping first round picks with a team that finished in the top 4 this year, all for a journeyman European wing who played a total of 8 games for the Raptors before returning to Europe because he missed the sangria back home.

Looking forward to winning a series in less than 7 games this year. I think this team can pull that off.

This can not be said enough times. From where we have been, it's unbelievable. It's something Masai promised in his first press conference. Maybe every GM does, but he delivered.

"This franchise is no longer a sidenote or an afterthought, they are a powerhouse, and GM Masai Ujiri, Casey, DeRozan and Kyle Lowry have made them such." http://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nb...epic-playoffs/

After following this team from the start it's pretty freakin' amazing to read this.
