Defense, late game execution, rotations, play calls, weak power forward play and usually weak small forward play. Combine injuries to 2pat and demar recently, some real close games, many leads blown (again execution and play calling) and voila 10-13 since jan 1

It all starts with Casey and then perhaps a trade for a defensive player.

Raptors have led in the final 2 minutes in 10 of the last 14. Raptors are 4-10 in that stretch.

          ......yeah.

One more thing we've talked about for years:

“We’re in every game, we’re just killing ourselves toward the end of the game,” said DeMarre Carroll, who had 15 points on eight shots through three quarters as he continued his run of strong play, but saw the ball just once in the fourth quarter as Lowry and DeRozan took 12 of Toronto’s 19 shots, making just three combined. “Especially us as role players. We’re so used to [DeRozan] and Kyle handling the ball [down the stretch] so we sit and watch, whereas earlier in the game we’re kind of playing.
Can't use the excuse that "we're improving every year" anymore.

Thats where everything goes to hell when Casey makes Derozan and Lowry try and take over games at the end when the opposing team is making a comeback, and as KeonClark stated, why this team has been terrible lately down the stretch.

Maybe as early as his first season here?

don't think we were talking about much since the team sucked that year either way.

but yeah it didn't take long

If there is a bright side to all this, is that Masai HAS TO BE feeling the pressure to make a move now, more so than any other year. This team needs a shot in the arm, and a marquee PF acquisition could be what the doctor orders.

The Raptors up until Christmas were #1 in the league in 4th quarter +/- at +4.5. Since Christmas they are #23 at -1.5.

How did they go from being the best 4th quarter team in the league in the first couple months to bottom third in the last 6 weeks? Answer that and you solve the recent slide and all these blown 4th quarters.

I'm pretty sure this is what Lowry is referring to. Ibaka and Milsap don't really help that.

Apparently Patrick Patterson is some kind of super glue. Which is how some will try to explain it. His agent must have a wide-ass dopey grin on his face, right about now.
