Dallas is going to sign Noel long term. They traded a 1st rounder for him, they aren't letting him go.
Nah, im talking back in November. The pick was converted into 2 x 2nds and Anderson. No way that pick was ever gonna be a 1st.

Is DJ really impossible to get? If Blake leaves the Clippers, with DJ only having a year left I don't see why they wouldn't consider JV+CoJo+one of our prospects for him.
      Someone might beat it tho.

      • It's doesn't matter if masai holds his ground, it only matters if someone else offers more and Lowry wants to go there. If wolves go 4/$149 then he's probably gone

Ah, sure. In any case, DAL isn't giving him up now. And the team would be no better off with Noel over JV. He'd be a terrible fit with Ibaka.

That's the point Dan, we disagreed re JV vs Noel for a month and Ibaka wouldnt be here. If you think the league agrees with you on JV vs Noel right now then I don't know what to tell you.

            • Zach Lowe ranked Toronto as his most interesting team for the offseason. Says he expects us to do something very unexpected.

Was just listening to his podcast thought I'd mention that.

Jeez, Noel instead of both Ibaka and JV? Where do I sign up... Yuck.

I don't much care if the league agrees with me. Not sure where I ever suggested that I did.

It's just a silly concept. Ujiri will surely say out loud to Lowry and Ibaka the value of the contract he is offering. So how is the agent going to convince them to go elsewhere if he can't show them a better offer? And if he can, it's not that he strong-armed Ujiri, it's that Ujiri got outbid.
I'm not sure the people who write these reports and "stories" understand how negotiation works.... it doesn't seem like it.

LOVE IT! I really really really hope we can keep Tucker. And I think it's a good look that we will be talking to him on the first day of free agency. It shows how much we really want him
I relish negativity and disappointment. It is not healthy. Somebody buy me a pony.

Yeah.. this is also a sign that they don't care about paying taxes. Blowing 2 second rounders doesn't seem like a Masai type of move. Hopefully Tucker comes back.

This gives Minnesota all kinds of money and no point guard. Uh oh.
