Biz played out of his mind with the Raptors last season especially on a contract year so that's the factor we just can't ignore.

However the word "fit" is to be considered also. He does complement well with the pieces on this team.

so explain how this team was actually even higher in defense (9th) in 2013-2014 then? there was no biz. there was no backup C at all. unless you think grievez vasquez and john salmons anchored our D.

I said this last summer, letting Biz walk in the offseason was a hige mistake. This team look exactly like the team the Wizards swept 2 years ago.

That's what I seem to be reading. How did we let Harrell go off like that? Because even if Harden went off we could still win. I swear Harrell is an undersized big with no range. Im so confused as to how he went off. Our bigs should be ashamed of themselves for letting that happen. But knowing our horrible defense it was probably the bigs having to help the guards because they suck at keeping a snail in front of them that resulted in a guy like Harrell being left wide open.

mainly bad 2nd rotations on help defence leading to either dump-offs or offensive rebounds. same problem as usual.

Well he's back working with Thibs in Minnesota. Has more athletic defenders than we do in Wiggins, Dieng, Towns, Rubio, etc. And they're 25th in defense.

And that team is the youngest team in the NBA. Go back to the Bulls days with Thibs, that team was one of the best defensively.

The Spurs have the best perimeter defender in the league. And also probably the GOAT coach.

The Grizzlies have the best defender at center in the league. And arguably the best defensive PG in Conley and the #2 perimeter defender after Kawhi in Tony Allen.

Stop comparing JV's situation to this. And when the Spurs play a team that goes small they take Pau out of the game. Pau is the comparable to JV in this scenario. Skilled, offensive big who isn't good defensively because of his lack of lateral quickness (and Pau is actually better defensively than JV btw).

you realize that orlando are even worse in defense than the raptors right?

He would improve/Help our defense not do it all on his own.... I never understood why people made this argument. We can only compare our team with and without Biyombo. How is it relevant to compare him on a totally different team with different players and different schemes?? It's just so lazy to say hey we're better than Orlando....
