Lowry had the night off, Pat still resting, BeBe got hurt, JV had a rough game and we won on the road? Even against the Nets that's a resounding success.

JV was actually decent when he got the ball, and on the boards, mostly in the second half, and definitely woke up defensively for a stretch there in the third when the lead was first really built. Lopez is a force when he's locked in, though JV definitely had a few stretches of we're-playing-the-Nets defence. Defensive effort from basically the entire team was missing until the second half.

Kudos to DD for putting the team in his shoulders in this one, with Lowry sitting. Needed it, he delivered. And what a game from CoJo - great job scoring off PnR action against switches. What was BKN doing down the stretch switching everything? CoJo and DD ate the switches alive to put this one out of reach. You'd think they'd live and die with the guards not getting a pass through to JV or Poeltl. Meh, bad teams are bad.

I'll take it! Best first half of a season record in franchise history, winning streak keeps going, AND Lowry got the night off. Nice.

Actually the Leafs are starting to become like the Raptors because of Ted Leiweke. Orchestrated the hiring of smart management in both franchises.

Leiweke was the best thing to happen Toronto sports.
