with the front court this thin, you've got to play Siakim at some point. Why not hide him with the starters where he's not going to touch the ball anyway rather than playing a more important role with the bench?

But again, we're back to, if the goal is "Lots of Pat minutes" then minutes at the start of either half where he's on the bench are neither playing minutes or rest minutes for Pat, and they're wasted minutes from that perspective.
