Yet the Atlantic Division Champs BOS have a slightly easier schedule yet aren't ahead in the standings, how is that possible?! #greenfontmakestoomuchsense

As an aside, damn you Clippers! Stop now and salvage our pick.
Because Boston isn't actually that good and Brad Stevens is an overrated coach.

We have a better roster and coach than they do.

      • No more Gerald Henderson on Charlotte. The curse is lifted

        • Still worried about Charlotte.. MKG is healthy and would be a tough defender for DeMar. They have lots of guys that can shoot from outside: Batum, Williams, Walker, Kaminsky, Belinelli. Hibbert might be back, and although he's no longer the guy that played for Indiana, he can still block shots at an elite level. Raptors have had some success lately against them, and Charlotte has had a pretty easy schedule (so far have beaten Miami, Philly, Brooklyn, Indiana, and Utah) and they no longer have Gerald Henderson lol.. but I don't think it'll be an easy win.

Hopefully JV is playing.. we could use him.

            • As Dan mentions, MKG not playing tonight, Hibbert will play, but likely will be limited minutes

Yep .. its reported that MKG's back is giving him trouble...

                @rick_bonnell about 2 hours ago
BREAKING: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (lower back strain) will NOT play tonight versus Raptors.

Ross and JV are gametime deciisons after morning shootaround...
Wolstat's saying Ross goes and JV gets another day to rest and let the knee heal...

                • Hmm. Obviously a secondary thought here, but...

Assuming JV is close to coming back, there is a certain sense to being extra cautious this game and holding him out, as it would mean him being fresh (if he is in fact ready to play tomorrow) against the Knicks, when everyone else is on a back to back - could in theory provide some much needed energy.

Of course, maybe he's just not ready and won't be ready tomorrow either.

                    Who knows.
The raps have less front office leaks than the NSA.

Like the theory on the back to back .... If your going to rest him on one of the games on the B2B anyway may as well be the opener and give him the extra day ..

There are really no words to describe how bizarre a phenomenon that was. Constantly getting torched by that bum. Had to be some sort of Voodoo curse from Masai's past...

                      • Its early but this is a game of significance for the raps from my cheap seat because:

1)Its against a playoff caliber team. Its on the road. Its in an arena where past success has been.. shall we say... limited.

2)Charlotte has come out the gate well. Yeah their strength of schedule hasn't been off the charts but they have won 3 of those 6 games on the road. Thats tough to do.

3)Hoping to see the raps follow up a big road win against a quality opponent in OKC with another big road win against the Buzz. For me anyway, this would show a consistency of effort and "game" on a night to night basis that only very good teams possess.

4)Showing that they have the depth to pull this off even with their starting C on the shelf for a bit and possibly their best 3 point shooter out for this game as well. Next man up becomes more than just a brave cliche if they can win the two roadies before heading home to take on the Triangle Super Team.

They still have Batum who's a pretty good two way player. DeRozan will have his hands full.

I always feel uncomfortable whenever we play the Hornets specially in Charlotte. That place is like a house of horror for us.

It's anyone's game if we can keep it close.
