            • Never a doubt...now let's unleash Powell into Boston (Demarre will be resting)

              • Jordan Hill is a Wolf now? lol

Hill and Rubio were both drafted ahead of DeRozan.

They didn't just draft Rubio either - they drafted Rubio and Flynn with back to back picks. I miss Kahn. He was fun.

They had 2 picks in the top 6 that year. They drafted 2 PG's lol. Rubio and Flynn.

Steph Curry was in that draft btw and the Wolves passed on him.

                        • It safe to say raptors are a middle of the pack defensive team as currently constructed.

                          • Considering this takes me to 1-0 as a thread creator, I'll take it. Basically a drunk win - no idea what the team as doing defensively, lots of terrible offensive possessions, and lots of fun plays from the top 3 (including JV who broke his funk, offensively at least) including some hilariously awesome stuff from Lowry and DD. Lowry hitting 30 footers and 4 point plays, DD nailing clutch threes and very inconsiderate put back jams.

I liked that Casey put JV back in late - nice confidence boost for him, and besides misplaying the first PnR after he subbed in, he did well (got robbed of a clean block on Lavine late). Same for the whole game - except for the ridiculous hedging he was asked to do, thought he did well (except for, funnily enough, biting on Dieng's pump fake for no reason that one time). Plus the Raps were getting lucky in the boards with no box outs and the long ones happening to come to the Raps near the end of BeBe's shift there. Best to cash out while you're ahead, especially considering the rebounding bit them hard earlier in the game.

Anyway, solid enough win to close out the home stand. I'll take it. This offence is fun. The defence... can be and has been much better than it was tonight. Very much need a more conservative style, even with BeBe out there. Hedging works when it surprises the offence, we saw in 2014-15 how much it can fail when it is all you do.

Passed on him twice. Twas hilarious. Rubio and Flynn could never work together so they really effed up bad not taking the guy that looked like a clear SG at the time (Curry).

Flynn lit it up under the bright lights at Madison sq garden. There was a lot of questions that curry was older, injury/athleticism questions, Davidson a small program, defensive and playmaking abilities as a small player.
It wasn't so clear or obvious at the time.
