But why would he need to blow it up when he has racked up top picks through BKN and other trades...

Instead he gets the fanbase to buy in and more importantly make the franchise more money without having to tank when other teams (BKN) are doing it for them. If they went through the same time span with a few more picks in the 9-15 range where they likely would be I doubt they would be any better off especially when they dont even have the space to accomodate all the picks they have made. They still keep a handful in the D-League and overseas.

How well are the picks supposed to develop with Isaiah demanding touches?

Totally different league...and Iverson was a MILLION times better than IT, the most overrated player in the league. AI would put up 40+ in the Playoffs with these handcheck rules.

AI was also a MUCH, much better defender who led the league in steals before and their defence was supported by Mutombo who is better than anyone on the Celtics not to mention this is a much tougher East than the one AI went through. Of course we all remember that VC was one shot away, that was also a Raptor team that never had more than 47Ws in a season (would be a 5th seed)....

IT is actually not overrated this season. His advanced stats (ORTG & USG) this season are far and away better than anything Iverson ever put up. IT's offensive season is right up there with only 2 players - MJ and Lebron, unbelievable as it seems.

IMO, this speaks more to Steven's coaching, to be able to design a system that makes a 5-9 journeyman perform like Jordan with no Pippen... even if it's only the regular season.

IT is actually not overrated this season. His advanced stats (ORTG & USG) this season are far and away better than anything Iverson ever put up. IT's offensive season is right up there with only 2 players - MJ and Lebron, unbelievable as it seems.

IMO, this speaks more to Steven's coaching, to be able to design a system that makes a 5-9 journeyman perform like Jordan with no Pippen... even if it's only the regular season.

Again....the rule changes have made a HUGE difference hence the improved offence across the entire league.

Iverson would destroy this current league with his combination of speed and shooting if you couldnt hand check him and fouls are being called on everything.

Underrated move of the game is Casey bringing in the rookies. They played well and I thought helped turned the tide of the game in the 1st half when we were mostly playing the Bucks to a stalemate.
