Fortunately Scottie is really good so didn't have to go through the 905, but Koloko and Dowtin both could potentially become rotation guys or starters. This team has been really good in the recent past so makes sense the cupboards are fairly empty.

Flynn, Stanimal, RHJ, McCaw, Miller, Davis, Harris, Matt Thomas, RHJ, Hernandez, Brissett, Watson, Bembry, Ellenson, Gillepsie, Watanabe, Banton, Bonga, Brooks, Champagnie, David Johnson, Oturu, Waters, DJ Wilson were all in the "pipeline".

None of these guys panned out though.

No diamonds in the rough like Fred, Pascal or Norm. Maybe Dowtin, but we'll see. He's already 25 years old though.

Whiffing is the norm in the NBA. We just whiffed a lot less, relative to other teams… pre-Nurse.

That's because we sucked a lot more back then, thus we were able to get good picks, LOL. It's not that difficult fellas. When the team is bad the players available to us in the draft are better, when the team is bad the players available to us in the draft suck. It's an inverse relationship.

No we get that. That's why i wanted to tank in beginning of the year. But what planetmars showed is that selection pool was terrible last few years and we couldn't keep the momentum going with smart signings and now we hit the wall

People are talking about developing guys drafted in the 20's (OG, Pascal, Delon) or later (Norm) or undrafted (Fred)... not lottery picks. We developed those unheralded young guys when the team was winning and rising up the standings.

We should definitely be treating the Siakam's, Norm's and FVV's as the outliers. They'll have a pick in the teens this draft so should be a decent player that at worst is on that Koloko level. Then onto the unsigned pool since we won't have our SRP.
