Even if OG is just another Robert Covington I would be happy with that.

Beside's we already got Pascal & Giannis is coming in 2 years so things will be good.
    Covington comp is good

    • I got a quote on this site a year ago, maybe two saying this kid was gonna be a stud once he got clear of his personal stuff.... yeah we lost Kawhi, but really, if OG continues to improve, you haven't lost as much as you think if this guy is replacing Kawhi...the drop off is very manageable

      • he is comparable to covington on defence... but he is so much better... i always thought the ron artest comparison was fair.

Ron Artest is another good comparison. Artest was much more physical & aggressive than OG is right now so im hoping that is where OG will go once he gets more comfortable. Artest was also crazy too ( be overly physical with you) so that helped him in some ways.

As for the offense they both played similar in terms of hitting the open 3, scoring near the basket or in transition. However Artest made quite a few bad & questionable bone headed offensive decisions each game for the team he was playing for in his career. That team simply had live with it . I'm glad OG isn't like that & playing more discipline & the right way.

          • Any update on OG? How serious was the hit in the eye?

Well he has to go to see eye specialist. So fingers crossed.

Nurse told reporters after the game that Anunoby will have the appointment before the team leaves Los Angeles for Portland so we should get an update.

                  • This guy has the worst luck. A burst appendix and now an eye contusion?

                      Wasn't (bad) luck.
This won't be popular to say but OG was carrying/protecting the ball low when Kawhi raked both his eyes. It wasn't deliberate but it was dangerous and careless on Kawhi's part

                      • Raptors’ OG Anunoby to miss game vs. Trail Blazers with eye contusion. Officially betting under dogs now too

                        • How does one player have such bad luck?? I hope it's nothing serious and they put some goggles on him and he's back ASAP. The team really needs his scoring now.

If he's got a scratched cornea, could be awhile.

Obviously we don't know how bad it is but this injury heals pretty fast assuming there's not some other damage. Now even if it's healed, I don't know how tough it would be to play in an NBA game if your eye is sore/sensitive but I suspect he's back for the Dallas game.

Depends. We still haven't been given specifics on the injury. Just an "eye contusion" They might as well say "Upper body injury' at that point. Hopefully it heals quick.

Eye injuries creep me the f*** out. I think I'd rather get kicked in the balls than get a finger in the eye.
