I think DeMar has a solid chance at top 3. Each of the four guys ahead of him last year added a star-level player who will soak up usage: George/CP3/Hayward/Cousins.

The only ascendant guy who might pass him is Irving, if he goes to a bad enough team and tries to prove himself as a scoring superstar.

I think DeMar is likely to see his PPG decrease.

This could very well happen as well....

I think he may be average like 6 assist next season if he plays point more often,

something like 25/5/6/1.5/0.5 on 47% shooting seems realistic if he plays PG more

Agreed. Unless he adds a 3pt shot to his arsenal.

I would love to see that happen, but I suspect with our depleted/young bench he's going to end up taking on more scoring duties than the team currently intends.

                  In no particular order...

                  Harden
                  Durrant
                  LBJ
                  IT
                  Wall (dark horse)

very good points although i see hardins ppg staying high and his assists going down

I don't really put too much stock in ppg. I think RW will still get his despite George being there. I think Harden still gets his despite Paul being there. James may have to score more without Irving.

DD has a chance to get in the top 3 but he always puts up some stinkers (where he shoots 2/13 or something and ends up with 5 points). If he's consistent then his numbers will look good. Ibaka will get more points which might hurt DD's overall throughput but after Ibaka and Kyle there's not much else.. Powell or JV could have big games but they will be in short supply.

Personally I hope DD averages more assists too. But the only thing I want to see out of DD is improvement in defense. He's terrible. That's more valuable to me then his passing or his 3pt shooting.

It sounds like Casey wants DD to focus more this coming season on creating for others. I think you'll see his attempts per game drop, his PPG dip and his assist and turnovers to rise.

Westbrook has a truly prolific scorer on the floor with him this coming season and you'll see his scoring come down, just as it was lower playing with Kev. Don't agree? Well he attempted 24 shots per game and only shot 43% from the field last season. The volume will drop significantly because they won't need him to do it and they're going to be wooing George to stay. He won't stay to watch Westbrook dominate the offense.

It's hard to give a top five with stats but I will say that Anthony Davis, James Harden and Giannis Antetokounmpo will be in the mix.
