  • 2017-2018 predictions

So what do you think will happen in 2017-2018? We'll try to bring this thread up at the end of the year to see who's crystal ball was most accurate.

    1. How many wins will the Raptors get?

    2. What seed do the Raptors end up with in the Eastern conference?

    3. Who will the Raptors face in round 1 of the playoffs?

    4. Who will be representing Toronto in the NBA all-star game?

    5. Will Masai make a trade before the deadline? If so who's a gonner?

    6. Who will start on opening night? Powell or Miles?

    7. What will DeMar's 3pt% be by the end of the season?

    8. How many regular season games will JV start in?

    9. Who averages more mpg? FVV or OG

    10. Who of KJ McDaniels, Alfonzo McKinnie, Kennedy Meeks, and Kyle Wiltjer will remain on the roster after January 10th?

    Some NBA predictions:

    1. Who wins the 2017-2018 title?

    2. Who's representing the East in the NBA Finals?

    3. Who wins MVP?

    4. Who wins ROY?

    5. Do Kyrie and Melo get traded? If so where are they going?

    1. 46
    2. 4 (behind Cavs, Celtics, Wizards)
    3. Miami
    4. Kyle/DeMar
    5. Yes. JV (unfortunately)
    6. Miles
    7. 33%
    8. 20ish before being traded
    9. OG
    10. KJ/Wiltjer but I honestly have no clue

    NBA:
    1. Dubs
    2. Cavs
    3. Kawhi
    4. Lonzo (vote splitting will hurt Simmons/Fultz, I think)
    5. Yes. Kyrie to Phoenix, Melo to Houston.

          1. Warriors (for sure, right?)
          2. Cavs
          3. Kawhi, unless LeBron goes for it
          4. Lonzo Ball
          5. Melo to Houston. Kyrie doesn't get traded (and the entire season is clogged with stories of dissension within the Cavs)

I love how everyone knows CJ Miles is definitely starting lol. He's exactly what casey loves. He's a veteran that spaces the floor. There is no way in hell he doesn't start. But I do believe as the season goes on or at least by playoff time Norman will win the starting position. And everyone's saying 3rd seed. Who other than Cleveland do you think will be better than us? Washington or Boston?
I relish negativity and disappointment. It is not healthy. Somebody buy me a pony.

I don't like how the Raps defense is shaping up this year.. so I think they'll get the 3rd seed. Probably to Cleveland and Boston again. And yeah.. Miles is starting. That's totally Casey's style.

Boston is better than us. The firepower from their two lead guys (IT and Hayward) is on par with ours and Horford is better than Ibaka. Plus, unlike us, they actually have a real 3+D SF who can defend top wings and small-ball 4s at a good level. They also have a more creative coach.

I think we've actually fallen into the 3rd tier of the east. Cleveland is tier one, Boston is tier two and tier three is us, Milwaukee and Washington.
