I know it's not a power ranking per se, but after the win in New Orleans, the 538.com projection has us as 5th best overall, 2nd in the east and closing in on Boston:

Projections seem very generous for OKC.

Those three winnable road losses to SAS, GS, and BOS are starting to look less like "Shit, something is wrong with the Raptors" and more like a few made buckets away from as good as a 12-2 start.

Yeah.. those were all winnable games. The Denver and Washington games can be erased from our memories though.

What even are those CBS Power Rankings?
            (4) Pistons
            (5) Memphis Grizzlies who are 7-7 and will probably miss the playoffs
            (6) Denver Nuggets who are 8-6 and will be struggling for a playoff spot
            (7) SAS who are 9-6 and contenders for the 2 seed in the West, behind Memphis and Denver who have a worse record and are worse teams
            (9) Orlando they are 8-7 and not very good
            (11) 8-6 New York Knicks who suck
            (13) 9-5 Raptors who have had one of the toughest schedules and still the 5th best net rating - still behind the Knicks and 4 spots behind the magic, a whopping 8 spots behind the 7-7 Grizzlies
            (17) 8-7 Cleveland, who is considerably better than about 14 teams ahead of them and has a better record than a bunch of them as well
            (18) 9-5 Wizards who will be a top 4 East team and have a good record - what?
            (21) OKC Thunder who are 7-7 with a terrific net rating and will be a good team, still behind a lot of -.500 bad teams like the Hornets and Clippers

Put this in perspective. The OKC Thunder are undoubtedly a better team than the Memphis Grizzlies on paper, they have a better net rating than the Memphis Grizzlies, they have the same record as the Memphis Grizzlies. They are 16 spots behind the Memphis Grizzlies.
That is a normal collar. Move on, find a new slant.

Perhaps even more remarkable: Saturday was the first of eight straight games that the Celtics don't face any All-Star from last season, the second-longest stretch by any team this season. Boston has a chance to keep its run rolling.

They should be first ... no question.. winning 14 in a row is really something... in any league let alone a pro one.

Yet like Icarus.. they are flying too close to the sun.. so many things have simply gone their way during the streak as it has to to post a run like that.... watch for the Chowderheads to even out in the W-L column ...
There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

They took advantage of it for sure and you gotta respect that.

                          SI from 9 up to 4 - https://www.si.com/nba/2017/11/20/nb...evens-warriors

Don’t let the Raptors get hot. Toronto has won four straight and Kyle Lowry is starting to look like the Kyle Lowry we all know and love.

                          cBS also from 9 up to 4 - https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/n...ttest-team-is/

The Raptors are smacking teams around right now and have won their last four games by an average of 14.3 points. They're committing to the new offense and it's resulted in the third best offense in the NBA.

                          NBA.com from 8 up to 4 - http://www.nba.com/article/2017/11/1...kings-week-6#/

                          Record: 11-5
                          Pace: 100.1 (15) OffRtg: 110.4 (3) DefRtg: 103.2 (11) NetRtg: +7.1 (4)

There have been moments of stagnation, but in general, the Raptors have adjusted pretty well and pretty quickly to their new offense. Kyle Lowry (who averaged 18.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 8.8 assists in their four wins last week) is figuring things out and the Raps have scored 115 points per 100 possessions as they've won six of their last seven games. DeMar DeRozan has found another way to make his anti-analytics game more efficient. He leads the league in mid-range shots for the second straight season, but has shot 50 percent on those mid-range shots, up from 39 percent over last three years. They're on the road for much of the next seven weeks, but after visiting the Knicks and Pacers this week, 10 of their next 11 games are against teams that currently have losing records.
