  • Game #44 Toronto Raptors 86 - San Antonio Spurs 83

After a sloppy win over Detroit, the Raptors look to get their swagger back against the visiting Spurs, who even without Kawhi Leonard are never an easy team to deal with.

    PROJECTED STARTERS

    KEYS TO THE GAME

Trap Game: The Raptors were burned on double teams multiple times against the Pistons, despite showing a lot of improvement in that area this season. It felt weird. Need to do better in that regard

Home Cooking: This is the first half of a back to back and the second of three games in four nights. The trip to Minnesota on Saturday could get ugly, so the Raps need to take care of business of their home court

Wake Up: The Raptors have had a lot of sloppy play the last few games, and have gotten way too frustrated and involved with the officials. They need to get their heads back on straight and this season back on track. They're still only 3 games back of Boston, so the 1st seed is still there for the taking if they can rekindle some of their fire from a couple weeks ago

    LET'S GO RAPS!!!

So true. It feels like this team goes as Ibaka goes. He plays well and we crush teams. He plays like crap and we struggle to beat lesser teams.

He takes so many shots. If he doesn’t make most of them that’s a large amount of empty possessions for us

Spurs are great, but the Raptors are better (yeah I said it). Just need to keep them off the glass (unlike last time). That was brutal.

It seem like Aldridge and Gasol always give us trouble. Bigs have to step up in this game.

                  JV should help with that.

They should just shut Kawhi Leonard down. And hopefully for them history repeats itself like when David Robinson went down and missed the rest of the season in the late 90's and they ended up winning the Tim Duncan lottery the following year.

Spurs only won 20 games the year leading up to Duncan's draft (3rd worst overall).

This year, they've already won 30. They'd need to get REEAALLY lucky with the ping pong balls this time.

They're gonna still make the playoffs without him though

Poeltl needs to defend with the body, not just the hands; he's too soft. Stop being afraid of fouls but then again, when the refs don't let you play you get paranoid ....

JV had 17 points and 16 rebounds against Detroit and barely gets a byline mention lol. No one had more than 5 (Jac) but Kyle with 9
