Also... if the Lakers strike out on all three players (PG, LeBron, Kawhi), I can see Magic making a desperation move for DeMar. KCP is probably walking and if they send us Deng then it doesn't affect their 2019 cap space too much.

The current roster of LA. Lakers is only at about $30 million with Deng.
We cant have trade with them.
LAC on the other hand.. Tobias, SGA & Boban is a nice get for DD.Last edited by Hotshot; Sun Jul 1, 2018, 02:22 AM.

Again, I'm not sure why the Clippers would give us almost exactly the same haul they just got for Blake Griffin. If you read Jerry West's rationale for doing that deal I don't think there's much likelihood of him flipping those assets for another non-franchise-level star.

Yeah the ideal Clippers trade has already passed.
Now we hope the Lakers strike out on Kawhi, but get LBJ/Cousins, so have pressure to add a third star. Then they swap their assets and Deng for DeMar.
Lakers should be desperate with George signing in OKC and the Spurs seemingly still resistant to a Leonard trade.
After the Lakers, the trade targets get less obvious for either Raptors star. Philly could still make sense for Lowry, especially if they manage to dark horse their way to signing LBJ. Minny for DeMar (Wiggins plus). Maybe PHX for Lowry if they really do want to try to compete and want a PG? Dallas could make a DeMar move but they don't have the assets left after trading their first for Doncic. Memphis is always a possibility for DeMar. Not sure what the offer looks like.
Either way, plan A is definitely to hope the Lakers get desperate. Would be nice to send DeMar to LA if we are going to trade him, too.
