Considering there have been reports that Kawhi doesn’t want to play in Lebron’s shadow, its a possibility.

I’d be okay with trading for Jimmy.

I don't think anyone would complain if we got Butler instead of Kawhi.

He could also be a rental though. There should be similar concerns in terms of what we should be willing to give up.

I don't agree with this.

Kawhi is actually on the trading block, as far as we know Jimmy isn't.

The extension news today isn't really news. That extension was less money than he can get this summer from Minnesota, there was no reason for him to take the extension at all. Whether he's staying or leaving, turning it down was the smart decision.

Jimmy is easier to like than Kawhi too.

Is he? Kawhi never seemed like a bad guy until this season. Jimmy has always seemed like a bit of a prick and obviously doesn't have a great relationship with the young guys in Minny.

That said, I think our young guys have better character to match with Jimmy than Minny's youngsters, and we could frankly use someone who's a bit of a prick.

True, but the stories about him not really meshing with Towns and Wiggins leads to speculation Minny will have to consider trading him.
