ReubenJRD wrote: View PostLook, I get the whole stigma of "grest stats, bad team," but... 70 points in a game is not some easy feat.
Booker dropped 70 on a good Celtics team in 2017 that went to the ECF.
Kobe dropped 81 on a Raptors team that finished 27-55.
If we're looking at the results of a single game shallowly, then lets do that with Kobe's.
Both were impressive, regardless of who/what/when.
Booker is a machine from the perimeter, and I'd have to think he'd be an even better scorer/player in a system, alongside talented players that will only elevate his game. Offensively, it would be incredibly scary to have to guard Lowry/Booker/Kawhi -- hypothetically speaking.
I do agree, that the guy is not a superstar. He's not that type of talent, but he's certainly an all-star calibre player that would thrive in a number 2/3 option on a championship team.
At least his base is a good scorer that can spread the floor.

If he was a Raptor, people here would be calling him the next MJ.
It’s hard for sure to put up 70 ..but if your the only guy taking the shots all game long maybe a little less hard ?
ESPN has 30 for 30...Maybe Booker can be nicknamed ESPN as well for his 70 on 40 performance.Last edited by Demographic Shift; Fri Aug 31, 2018, 05:53 PM.There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

2. Doubtful - Demar has accomplished way more and Raptor fans still dislike his game.
Honestly the way he got 70 was so disgraceful. He doesn't belong on that list of great players who scored 60+. Almost as weird as Terrence Ross getting 50.

Of the players that I mentioned, only 1 has scored more than 70 in a game and he only did it once.Mamba Mentality

At this point, I would rather Booker > Danny Green. While Green is a better defender, his %'s have dipped and is aging. Anyways, this is all hypothetically speaking. He'd be a problem if he were a second or third option on a contending team.
