  • Game #74: Toronto Raptors 106 - LA Clippers 117

    Toronto Raptors

    Kyle Lowry
    DeMar DeRozan
    OG Anunoby
    Serge Ibaka
    Jonas Valanciunas

    Los Angeles Clippers

    Milos Teodosic
    Austin Rivers
    Tobias Harris
    Wesley Johnson
    Deandre Jordan

After a close victory against the Brooklyn Nets, the Toronto Raptors bounce back from their loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday. Three players scored over 20 points for the Toronto Raptors in the win: Kyle Lowry (25 points, 12 assists, 10 rebounds), Jonas Valanciunas (23 points, 8 rebounds), and DeMar DeRozan (21 points, 3 assists).

The Raptors are currently not winning as easily as they did earlier in the season. In their most recent stretch they've dropped two games against talented teams in OKC and Cleveland, and have struggled to soundly defeat lottery bound teams like Orlando and Brooklyn. The intensity has taken a dip for the Toronto Raptors, likely a result of having to play a sizeable amount of games in such a short time span. Unfortunately there won't be much time to rest with the Clippers coming to visit on Sunday. Until they can find some breathing room to hopefully right the ship, the Raptors must continue to find a way to keep churning out wins against beatable competition. A 60 win season is well within their grasp!

Our grasp, consmap. The season belongs to the fans too.

I'm not saying we're responsible for all the winning this season... just 97% of it.

Consensus basketball. Better than actual evidence.

Another revenge game.. glad its at 6pm instead of 1pm. I hate early afternoon games.

The Raptors need one of those February wins soon. Maybe its the fact that CJ has had the shits, or its because everyone is tired.. not sure. But we really need a good defensive effort in this one. Technically we had a good defensive game against Orlando, but that was more of Orlando being bad then us being good. Brooklyn should not have had a 14-15 point lead or whatever the hell it was.

The Raps said they would talk if Monty brought them the head of Marc Davis as a sign of good faith.

Yep. Which is why you never take a view like, "there's no way Raps can ever beat the Warriors," cause you never know what can happen....

So is Kyle since 'Nova plays at 2:20 to get back to the Final Four.

Wonder if they rest Serge on Tuesday against the Nuggets since the next game after that is on Saturday so he would get a six day break.

Isn't he being re-evaluated in three weeks. He could miss a lot more.

Doubt it. If they were going to rest him, the back to backs made sense. At this point I figure they just ride it out until they get those actuals days off. He might get a rest game after this break as there are a couple back to backs yet to come.
