RAPTORS 108 WIZARDS 98
Through the first three quarters, Washington seemed the hungrier team in a back-and-forth battle that saw neither team lead by double digits until the game’s last couple of minutes. The Wizards were winning most of the loose balls and dominating the boards, outrebounding Toronto 50-35. Neither the Wizards’ upper hand in rebounding (38 to 20 after three quarters) nor the Raptors’ long-range shooting (five more threes made than Washington) provided either team separation. But in the fourth quarter, balance proved to be the difference. The Wizards pulled ahead, 87-82, their largest lead of the game, after Oubre emphatically threw down a baseline dunk while getting fouled. The Raptors responded with a 24-6 run, started with 10 points from five players. The Wizards drowned beneath a 26-11 tidal wave to end the game. Interestingly, the Raptors are the only team in the league this year to have never lost three straight games.
Keys To The Game:
1) Raptors should not change. The strength of the Raptors, ultimately, will be measured in the collective. On Wednesday, it was a point-guard collective.
2) Rebounds! Raptors need to step up their rebounding game!
3) Don't disappear when you're on the big stage. Don't play scared. You're tougher and better!
4) Put this bish away in Washington!
Let's Go Raptors!!!!
