Don't disagree but it does, so don't kick sand in the sandbox.

Nurse is incredibly limited by the players who appear to remember how to play basketball, which on any given night is between 2 - 4 players.
But at the same time, Nurse took an innovative season long approach to give role players way more freedom to step up and make decisions and make plays with the hope that it would make us less predictable in the playoffs. That experiment looks like it has backfired badly. The bench has been a season long disaster, even before losing JV, Miles and Wright. JV was the only solid performer, because he can basically get his own offense independently of any system.

Nurse's concept sounded great in theory, but role players just can't think the game fast enough when it speeds up to the highest levels in the playoffs. They need role cards and simplified scripted plays that they can execute without thinking too much. That said, I don't blame Nurse for trying something new, but it was obvious since the first month of the season that the bench players (especially FVV) needed to be reigned in. There was no way to know how it would actually pan out until the moments of truth - but the warning signs were there all season long.

Plus the bad luck of some useful players being unavailable in OG and McCaw-ley Culkin for bizarre and mysterious reasons.

Man this thread is a bit of a dumpster fire. Keep your comments on point and not about other posters people. Pretty simple.
