Losing to Dallas probably sealed Indiana's fate. I don't see them keeping that 3rd seed. Their March schedule is brutal and they're losing to lottery bound teams.

Philly is 2.5 up on Boston without the tie breaker. Boston has a tougher schedule but they can also bounce back. Philly has the edge there. I don't really care which team makes it to be honest. Neither team can win in Toronto and we'll have home court. I guess if I had a choice I'd rather play Boston just because it would be fun beating them. But it would also be a blast beating Philly.
Agree.. that loss to Dallas really hurts Indys chances to stick around in the 3 hole.

Yet.. Boston is still 3 back in the loss column and Phillys next two are OKC tonight (they have no bigs as both Embiid and Boban are hurt) and then GSW.

If Indy can pick it up... and run their next 3 games as wins (they get the sinking Tpups, the BUlls and Orlando) .. the dream can live on...

Lets see next week at this time what happens...

I'm still not willing to throw in the towel on Indy. They play really good defense, they are well-coached and prepared and they don't make a lot of mistakes. Very solid team.

Imagine that team plus Oladipo and they still couldn't sniff the division lead. That's how tough it is.

        • So, Giannis missed the Bulls game and played only 24 minutes last night in Sactown - an OT game - and was a (-24). Something to keep an eye on - maybe this knee soreness is a problem.

Bud's gotta get those 62 regular season wins. Go Bud.

            • Bucks have a couple of back to backs in March, and about half their remaining games are away. They're going to have to rest Giannis at some point (right??) before the playoffs, so as long as the Rap's keep to striking distance grabbing the top seed is still very possible.

It will be tough... Raps are 3 games back in the loss column and the Bucks have but 21 to go.. They also have the tie breaker which makes it effectively 4 games back.

Say the Raps go 17 and 3 down the stretch... Pretty fantatastic...

But even with that .. the bucks would have to go 14 and 7 for the Raps to catch them.
Given they have lost only 14 games out of 61 all year.. the odds of them blowing a tire and losing 7 of the next 20 are pretty low.

Its sports and anything can happen... but it really looks like the Raps are going to start the playoffs as the 2nd seed..

                • Yeah you're better off cheering for indy than cheering against Milwaukee. Could be a blessing in disguise to be the 2 seed

                    Go Pacers Go !

And hope that Coach Bud gets in touch with his inner Thibs and in pursuit of 60 plus wins runs the Alphabet out of gas ...

Tonight in the Race for 3rd.

Philly on the Road against OKC who after losing in Denver will want to get back on track. Philly is Boban-less and Embiid-less. Watch Russ go the basket like a man possessed with no rim protection back there.

Indy at home vs the Timberpups. Its the second game of a B2B for both of them. Indy needs it more as the pups come to grips with the fact they are going to miss the playoffs yet again.

                    Boston is off.

                    • PACER FOR 3RD WATCH

Both the Hinkies and Pacers won last night and are tied in the loss column. Hinks have 20 left and the Pacers have 19.
SOS according to tankathon.com has Indy at .542 and the Hinkies at 478.. Edge to the Hinks.
Its a wash on home vs road games as they are within % pts of being tied as road warriors and home domination.

Next up for the Hinks is GSW.. at home
Next up for the Pacers is the Magic at home.
                      Edge to the Pacers.

The Celtics are 3 back in the loss column with 20 to go... Right now it looks like the Flat Earther's who fear no one in a 7 game series are currently in the 5 hole... and are opening on the road.
Hope they have points so they can find cheap hotel rooms in Phiilly.

                      Goooooo Pacers !!

Celtics saying go 6ers. As it stands today Sixers would smash them in 5, 6 games max with home court

I don't know, Celtics are the Sixers bogeyman. Horford/Baynes are the ultimate Embiid neutralizers lol

Yeah, they were on a back to back in Utah who had a day of rest. Bucks led by 17 with 9 1/2 minutes left, then Utah went on a 17-2 run.
If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.
