  • So the Celtics lock up the 4 seed with the indy loss one playoff matchup is set now as they will host the Pacers.

The bottom half is somewhat shaping up. If charlotte and detroit are tied. Hornets get in. If miami, det and char have a 3-way tie the hornets still get in as they have the best record between the 3 teams in head to head matchups.

If pistions heat are tied, The pistions get in.

If charlotte heat are tied hornets get in.

So basically Heat have no tiebreakers and need to win last 2 and charlotte and detroit lose last 2.

Charlotte actually has the tiebreaker in 3/4 scenarios and as of this moment have a better chance of getting then miami.
To be the champs you got to beat the champs

    • It's crazy but Orlando, Detroit, Miami and Charlotte could each have 40 wins when it's all over.

Orlando lose tonight and against Charlotte.
Detroit beats NY and loses to Memphis (or vise versa)
Miami beats both Philly and Brooklyn
      Charlotte beats Cleveland and Orlando

If that happens.. Charlotte gets the 7th seed since they have the tiebreaker against all the others. Detroit owns the tie breaker against Orlando and Miami so they would get the 8th seed.

So there is a chance we get Charlotte in the first round. Wild.

Although Orlando is currently tied with the Celtics (3 mins into the 3rd). If they win they get in.

        Casey still casin'

"One of the things I loved was Blake Griffin, playing on one leg, diving on the floor for loose balls," Casey said. "He's obviously limited, but he's out there giving us everything he's got."

            • For me, an interesting result tonight is Dallas' win over Memphis - with that win, Dallas' first round pick moves from the #6 pick to potentially the #9 pick - surpassing the Wizards, Pelicans, and Memphis with that win. Since Atlanta owns Dallas' first pick - instead of having picks #5 and #6, they'd have #5 and #9 - which is a lot less 'interesting'

Also.. no speculation / draft reports for the Raptors 2nd round pick this year? For shame!

That Dallas pick was top 5 protected too, could have easily been a real useful peice. They won a couple late that hurt them in the tank race.

Looks like Raps probably play the Magic first round, should be quick. Could see a Ross explosion one game but thats the only way Orlando should sniff a win.

                Lets start the playoffs already!

I dunno...the raps have had trouble with the Magic all season ...with the exception of the last game ....our first win was close and Orlando's two wins have been lopsided....in fact...our first loss to them was our most lopsided loss of the season

they might make it tougher than you think

                  • Orlando and Brooklyn are in.. only one spot left with three teams chasing for it. Charlotte and Miami cannot get the 7th seed. best they can do is get 8th.

                    How we get Brooklyn:
                    - Brooklyn loses to Miami. Orlando beats Charlotte.
                    - Brooklyn loses to Miami. Orlando loses to Charlotte. Detroit beats both NY and Memphis.

                    How we get Orlando:
                    - Brooklyn loses to Miami. Orlando loses to Charlotte. Detroit loses at least once.
                    - Brooklyn beats Miami. Orlando beats Charlotte.

                    How we get Detroit:
                    - Brooklyn beats Miami. Orlando loses to Charlotte. Detroit beats both Memphis and NY.

sounds like pistons are the least likely matchup then.

Is this great or what ?
No games tomorrow as its the NCAA's night .
Might have to wait till Wednesday to find out who plays who.

For Detroit... Griffin isn't close to 100%. He was really dragging that leg.
For Boston... Smart left the game with what looked to be some kind of leg injury. Did not return.
There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

                              • Didn't we destroy the Magic when we tried? I wanted to avoid the Nets since they always play hard and can make 3s.
