  • Well significant debate on what the east looks like next year based on trades.. the draft...FA possiblilities and ownership tendancies. Fanfuckingtastic !!!!

Unlike your govt in Ottawa who opposes this type of open... honest...no holds barred debate which is augmented by cussing...sexual proclivity slurs .. and not so subtle innuendo laden questioning of your lineage makes this more fun than a twister marathon with baby oil and hookers.

So some random responses to what I read over the past couple days. ...

I too think the Knicks could fuck up a two car funeral..... so even if they manage to land a big name FA signing... the odds that they still suck and finish out of the playoffs next year are better than 2 to 1..

The Bucks and the Hinkies are going to be better next year. Embiid.. Simmons... The Alphabet are getting better and are under 25. Damn that sucks but its hard to see how they regress.

The Chowders are the equivalent of the Eaton family... They had it all. In terms of draft picks.. money and cap space... a franchise steeped in history and a window of opportunity that stretched out more than 3 or 4 years AND ... they fucked it up .. bad... Bre-x/Rachel Notley bad...Wys Grosbeck III esq or whatever his name is... has to think long and hard about how Danny Ainge with all that.. managed to take called strike 3 without taking the bat off his shoulder.

The Nets we will again grow to hate with fuck brooklyn intensity because they will be better next year. Guys you pulled for to do well will all of sudden will do a little to well for Raps fans liking. Sports fanatics hate that. FWIW.. I think its the Nets that land a tier A free agent and not the Knicks.

As much of a clown car amateur laden shit show the trudeau govt is it pales in comparison to the LA Lakers executive and ownership group. How could Lebron make such a mistake to close out his career.

Daryl Morey has run out of options and put himself in a corner he cant wiggle out of this time. The Rockets as a force in the west are going to recede next season. Darryl is stuck with an aging, bitter and bereft of skills Chris Paul .. for 3 more years....He has draft picks .. If he finds a way out of this one it will be his best off season ever.

The Sacramento Kings are going to have to be reckoned with next year. Nice to see them in the media as something other than a punchline.

As we kill one more day till the start of the Finals .. with our Toronto Raptors playing a leading role..... any other notions anyone wants to share on what the 2019-20 season might hold ?

    • Tough loss last night. This is the one that got away.

The Raps offense was flat to start the third and the Warriors put up points doing what they do. 18-0 run. Yet if your looking for something they came back to one Andre Igudola 3 of going to OT. Woulda Coulda Shoulda... but thats the nature of the finals.

So rationalizing I now know a few things.
      • Now that the sweep is off the table it jolts the fanbase back to reality that this is going to be tough. Really tough.
      • That as good as the Raps were in game 1 its hard to sustain that level of commitment and focus against a team thats a level or two above the Magic. Sometimes its you and sometimes its the other team showing why they are in the finals as well.
      • That the Warriors are champs for a reason.
      • That Andre Igudoula for all his historonics is a bit like Neymar in that he makes his supposed injuries look worse than they are.
      • Draymond Green is a guy you want on your team.

In the cause for continued optimism.
      • Playing on the road while hard also galvanizes a team. There are fewer distractions on the road and way more routine. Coaches love routine.
      • The Warriors while stealing one in game 2 face the sobering reality that Durant might not play till the series returns to Toronto and that Klay Thompson and Kevon Looney are on the limp.
      • The Raps offense got shots. Good ones at that.. But they didn't fall. Shit happens.
      • Nick Nurse holds his own at the highest level of completion.
      • This series which is what we have waited for.a long time.... will play out longer. Is that great or what. You could be watching the Jays. .

      • DS, Lebron isn't in LA for basketball. He's there to make movies and music and hang out with famous people....

        • Why are we talking about lottery teams in an Everything Playoffs thread. There should be an 'Everything Off-season' thread, for those losers. But, tbh, does anybody even care about that stuff right now?

Well for teams like the Suns and Knicks and Lakers the lottery season is their playoffs.

Anyway.... its a long time between games in June.... So there is time to kill... theories to float.. fake twitter beefs to get into.. you know the usual stuff.

He sure is there for the basketball... His oldest son is now playing for the right high school prep team.

              • OK....lets celebrate a game 3 win under the greatest pressure you can build.. the game you should win because the other team is undermanned.
                Its effing impressive.

So now this series moves to what might be a pivotal game 4 instead of the ever important game 5. When the Raps win this one it will be the equivalent of getting your opponent into position for the rear naked choke hold. Lots of words.. but they have to cosnder tapping out.

The pressure to win for GSW in game 4 is similar to turning coal into a diamond.
                ts intense

The storylines will emerge all day Thursday and most of Friday.
Does a clearly hurting Thomspon play ?
Do the GSW continue the myth that Durant who is really hurt and is skirting the line between playing and getting a 9 figure deal is out till next year remain "questionable" for game 4. until he can't go.

The Raps are focused. Laser focused.

See y'all on Bay Street in a week or so.

I mean I could make a low resolution image of the Raptors starting five but why bother? What I said has decades of history backing it.

This may greatly impact FA. If the Warriors do not offer the max to Durant and support him through the recovery then they look like total assholes.

Durant could have both Achilles torn and he’s still getting the max from every team that can offer it.

I'm not saying he won't get paid but I think you're wrong. A torn Achilles is a long road back for a 30 year old. This is a deep class. Kawhi moves to #1 now.

He might not play next year.
