  • Game #10: Toronto Raptors 121 (9-1) - Los Angeles Lakers 107 (4-6)

    Toronto Raptors

    Kyle Lowry

    Danny Green

    Kawhi Leonard

    Pascal Siakam

    Serge Ibaka

    Los Angeles Lakers

    Lonzo Ball

    Brandon Ingram

    LeBron James

    Kyle Kuzma

    Javale McGee

    Game Notes:
    • The Raptors were back at full strength in Phoenix with the returns of OG Anunoby and Fred Van Vleet. Anunoby had a quiet night stats wise, but Van Vleet managed to record a respectable 8 points, 6 assists, and 3 rebounds off of the bench.
    • None of the Raptors scored over 20 points in the Phoenix Suns game, however five Raptors scored in double digits: Pascal Siakam (10 points), Kyle Lowry (11 points), Serge Ibaka (14 points), Jonas Valanciunas (16 points), Kawhi Leonard (19 points).
    • Javale McGee has claimed the starting center position for the Los Angeles Lakers, and even with the recent acquisition of Tyson Chandler, McGee's production on the season so far should help him retain starter status. Prior to the Portland Trail Blazers game McGee averaged 15.5 points and 7.5 rebounds at 63.2% field goal percentage.
    • Kawhi Leonard and LeBron James meet each other once again on an NBA court. While the stakes are not as high as they would be in the NBA finals, there's always excitement when the King himself is face to face with the fabled Kingslayer. Leonard earned his 2014 Finals MVP through his ability to quell the onslaught of King James; a stoic guardian to stymie an amazing force of nature. Both players have switched teams since then, and five years have passed. But Leonard's story belongs to basketball legend.
    OG is our king

Kawhi is questionable with a "jammed ankle". Raptors said this.

Hopefully this "jammed ankle" thing is not a new term for broken ankle. You never know with Masai's Raptors.

That's what the person asking those silly questions to Kawhi called it ... Raptors trolling LA Reporters? Lol

Well, Lakers had a tiring, hard-fought 4-point victory tonight vs Portland on the road , so they may be tired tomorrow. I think there's a good chance we'll win even without Leonard.

On the other hand, Utah is a better team than the Lakers (even though they're struggling a bit as of late). So if Kawhi sits the LA game out, but plays in Utah, we might walk away with 2 W's here.

This is Lebron and the Raptors (without Kawhi) we are talking about. Its not going to be an easy win.

No, it won't be easy. But they're on the second night of a b2b after a demanding game on the road. Won't be easy for them either. Should be a good game.

They got plenty of young guys playing lots of minutes, hopefully its Lebron that is tired & Kawhi can play.

I'd frankly almost rather have Kawhi sit out if he's not feeling totally 100%. Last thing we need is him to aggravate something minor.

As exciting as this little matchup is, we have to keep in perspective that we're all still aiming for the long game of going far in the playoffs, hopefully to the finals, and keeping Kawhi at his best for that is of course so essential.

Weird start time for an LA game. Is it because of daylight savings?

Lakers won a tough game last night against a really good team. Even if Kawhi is healthy, we can't take them for granted.

Hope we get to see some Delon+Fred on the bench.

Exactly. OG was one of the few brights spots in the playoffs against Lebronto. Him & Siakam could easily switch and cover the length of Lebron & Ingram/Kuzma in either position. Norm needs to come off the bench and handle the pesky Lance when he will be used and he usually plays well against the Raps.
