  • If Kemba Walker was on this team instead of Lowry, this team would be the heavy fav to come out of the East.

As for the Hornets, they're 8-8 right now(mainly bec of Kemba). If Lowry was on that team instead of Kemba, they'd be fighting the Cavs the Zion Williamson sweepstskes.

And that was a good pick, the difference is Kemba had 7 years to develop in a sandbox-like environment being a leader on a team. JV was, well... he was tamed to obey and know his place.

We already are the favorites. And that's just not patently true. Every advanced metric shows Lowry as an elite driver of wins every year. Hes the one constant on team that wins at least 48 every year. But now it all because of Kawhi? Were 9-3 with Kawhi and 4-1 without. But dont let facts get in the way of your skip Bayless style.

drafted JV instead of Kawhi too lool. Crazy how your career can turn out. One was doomed the moment he got drafted by Raps and another one got drafted by Spurs lol

              • Kemba is a guy that would benefit playing WITH Lowry. He can fill it up but isnt a winning play maker. Hes like DeRozan with a 3 pt shot. If he got to play with Lowry maybe hed make the playoffs and win a couple games. Dont tell me about his role players when its takes 40 win to get a 6th seed in the east lmao

Again, luckily Kawhi was drafted by San Antonio, he may not have reached his potential in another franchise (Kings, PHX, Pistons, etc) and I feel pretty confident saying that Toronto for JV wasn't the best possible destination to end up, a team like Magic would have been ideal for a player of his style back then.

And the Celtics drop another one to another ~.500 team in Charlotte.
                    Sweet
And New Orleans dropped 140 on DeMar and San Antonio

Drummond is averaging 33 minutes under Casey. Unbelievable

He's a weakling, who gives up to the pressure from players and management to satisfy them (IMO, one of the reasons he's so liked), he doesn't really have a strong spine, when it comes minutes and stuff, rewarding the rights players with minutes after being good or vice versa. When he joined the team he rode with the players, who had star or veteran status, he's doing the same thing in Detroit. If you don't have a big ego or fat contract, then only then Casey will use you how he wishes.

Yeah, I mean Kemba is alright, but for being on a team where he's pretty much the only real offence focal point he should be putting even better numbers then he is now. Not even averaging a double double. Also, not a great defender (relatively pretty low on advanced stats that take into account defence, like PIPM). On his 8 year career only took his team to the playoffs twice, both times out in the first round, one of which a sweep. I don't expect you to go out there and wing rings with bad supporting cast, but on a league where your team is driven by the top talent on it, you gotta do better than that to be considered a top PG in the conference. If putting up numbers on meh teams meant something Anthony Davis would have won MVP by now. Kemba can light up form time to time but, meh.

Simmons can't shoot. Not as in is going through a bad shooting stretch, but as in "won't even attempt to shoot", which makes his offence predictable and easier to defend. In today's league if you're a PG without an outside shot, that's a huge red flag. He's got two things going for him though: he's young (so that can change), and he's gotta a hype machine behind him cuz he's in Philly. If he was on any other team no one would talk about him. De'Aaron fox is having an equivalent season, if not better and no one talks about him.

Kyrie is good, but he's still riding on the stock he built when he was with the Cavs. If your team has one of the worst offences in the league like Boston does, even though you have a great coach and good young talent around, that says something about your consistency as a playmaker and point guard. Also poor defender, and has durability problems with a hard time playing a full season. Lowry ain't perfect, but these guys are far from it.
