Actually I think it was a fair deal for both sides. NY got two expiring contracts, 2 draft picks and a lottery level prospect. One of those draft picks were unprotected.. the other only top 10 protected.

Dallas on the other hand will no longer be able to use a draft pick in a trade.. So it will be tough for them to get better unless they use free agency to do that (which is never easy and can be costly if they picked the wrong guy).

Will be fun to see Doncic and KP together of course.. and they could be great.. but NY did okay here.
