Did you notice what the rumoured/actual returns were on those big men trades? Jordan was salary filler. Gasol was rumoured to be offered for... JV! Memphis is hunting down a deal but it's looking difficult, and that's with the star cache Gasol comes with.

The entire basis of the argument is that JV is NOT WANTED by other teams (stupidly, but universally stupidly, and not just him, his type of player). Why would there be trade rumours about him?

We were the ones offering JV according to SI. It makes no sense for Memphis to be asking for Kyle/JV to kick off a rebuild.

And the only reason JV is in trade rumours is because Masai has been shopping him, not because teams are making offers for him. I love JV but he has been an unwanted asset for a long time.
