I was a big moose honk before the season..figured hed be productive if called upon in short spurts..and for a short spurt, he was.. but the moose has hit his wall. I see now why hes an endangered species in the nba..

Would really like an update on our lovable Lithuanian lighting..his absence is becoming increasingly noticeable..

Here's one factor vs. Indy that can benefit our team that a lot of people keep forgetting: if Corey Joseph dribbles 80% or more of the shot clock, he screws up his team and rotation on offence, just like what he did when he was in Toronto.

Unfortunately, the Pacers also know this. CoJo's usage is down from his Raptor days (14% vs. 18%). And 30% of his 2-pt buckets are now assisted, up from a career low of 17% when he last played here. Significantly less dribbling going on. His 3-pt shot is improved and his defense is stellar this year. CoJo's changed, but hopefully he turns back the clock tonight.

Tonite is the Rodney Dangerfield game.

Two teams that can't get any respect from the NBA MSM and yet are 1 and 5 in the whole league in wins.

The Pacers are a very very good team and yet its like they don't exist. Grinning dumb fucks like Nick Friedel are focused on the 9th place and sinking Lakers or the latest Joel Embiid tweets or the impossible because of league rules trade of Anthony Davis to the Celtics. Why is anyones guess but no one went broke underestimating the taste of the general pubic. It says more about the NBA MSM than the Pacers.

The Pacers are a very very good team. They have a top tier SG and scorer in Olidipo. They have a switchable inside outside front line with Sabonis and Turner. They have a plug and play vet with Thad Young on the wing and 3 guys who can light it up from outside in Bogdonovic, Evans and McBuckets. They have a good coach not named Brad. In short.. they are the real deal.

The Raps with a big time starting unit and a really good bench have held on to first place since the starting gun. Three of their best players in Kawhi, JV and Lowry have been in and out of the lineup for longer than optimal stretches of time.. yet there they are... first line down from heading...Eastern Conference Standings.

Tonight sees the Raps yet again coming in with one of their studs a guaranteed ...DNP ....beside their box score.

Do they have enough to beat the Pacers on their home floor.. yes .. yes they do.....Nurse and Co. are going to have to negate Sabonis in the paint, make Bogdonovic drive the ball and get the ball out of Olidipos hands or he will kill them off the dribble.
            Can they do it ?

            Yep... Raps by 2.

And for those like Nick Friedel who care... Kyle Kuzma of the out of the playoffs Lakers is back in the recording studio. Ballers want to be rappers .. and rappers want to be ballers continues. They suck at it.. but hey.. it sells tickets in LA that need something more than playoff ball come the spring.

Where you been this season? The NBA MSM (whatever TF that is) has fawned all over your Toronto Raptors early and often, and already annointed us as the team most likely to be vanquished by the Golden State Cupcakes in June. We've had more US media coverage than a Kardashian video.

Pacers don't deserve any respect. They've got to win a round or two and earn it, or have a star that's done it before.

                  So your agreed then ?
If it were true that they are fawned over...then this matchup should be the feature game of the nite on ESPN (an example of the NBA MSM) instead of the mildly interesting Hinkies 4th in wins vs the 10Th in wins Spurs

Personally, I'd love to see the Pacers finish top 3 in the East and do some damage against any team not named Raptors.
Small market team, no real super-star, about 22nd in team payroll. I'd sooner them than the Celtics or 76ers that's for sure. Bucks are a hard team to dislike too.

...JV can't get back fast enough for me. Those trademark bone rattling screens, good finisher in close and top tier defensive rebounding will only make this team more formidable than it already is. The Raps depth has held them in good stead as he works his way back to the lineup. It can't come fast enough.
Absolutely agree about Boucher, and also with the above quote. In past time off for injuries, JV has needed hardly any time at all to reintegrate himself into the flow of the game. You can bet that all the players are looking forward to those screens.

Despite winning 11 of their past 15 games, the Pacers have lost four in a row to top teams in the Eastern Conference. They are 3-7 against teams with a .600 or better winning percentage.

One could say that Raptors underperformed as well against their direct competition. I like Indy, but man... Their marketing team is just lame.
