Popovich put the ball in DeRozan's hands on San Antonio's previous offensive possession, with the Spurs trailing by one with 22 seconds left. But after DeRozan held the ball at the top of the key for several seconds, he drove down the right side of the lane and went up for a shot against Sixers forward Wilson Chandler.

Chandler blocked DeRozan's shot, and Philadelphia managed to run off most of the remaining time before Corey Brewerwas fouled. Brewer made one of two free throws, setting up the final play.

The loss was San Antonio's second straight and fourth in six games, but it saw DeRozan, who finished with a team-high 26 points on 12-for-19 shooting, snap a recent shooting slump. Wednesday's loss was the first time DeRozan scored more than 20 points since the Spurs beat the Pistons in Detroit on Jan. 7. Since then, he had scored in single figures twice and shot a combined 35-for-100 (35 percent) from the floor.

      • Ruptured Quad Tendon...season ending.

Such a downer for a good guy. He totally changed the Pacers. Now they are back to square one.

Here comes the Celtics and Sixers. Hopefully both can stay at 2 and 3. Raps can make a run for 1 to avoid both teams.

same injury Tony parker just had. they say it's a 9 month rehab he's probably gonna miss part of next season too. sad. im shocked people thought he could be back for playoffs this year. it looked serious right away.

                      Totally missed that, I agree.

Pacers likely will drop to 5 as their worse scenario.

Fuck man thatsso shitty hate watching stuff like that happen on the court. At first itlooked like a dirty play but vics knee blowing up is the reason he almost took pascals legs out. Not dirty at all. Hard to get back into a basketball game after seeig that. His seasons over. Pacers just loat all chance of making some noise. And it gonna take alot of work for him to get back to the player he was. Sad man
Really depends on how much of a tear it was.

you buried the lede....I thought I'd let sleeping dogs lie but since it's here, the headline was that DeRozan was benched for the final play because they needed a 3. Not a crazy thing to do, just crazy that that made a headline.
