I think ibaka did really well actually in the first half. He met giannis at the rim like 3 times and either forced a kick out or a got a missed shot. He did really well defending giannis. It doesn't necessary have to be for gasol either. we could push kawhi up to the 2 pascal to the 3 and start ibaka at PF?
This is what I prefer. Move green to the bench where we get a long perimeter shooter, or at least a floor spacer, and plus defender.

we all know Ibaka needs Lowry and cant create his shot off the bench. Green can be an outlet for fred that Ibaka and Powell simply arent

    Unnecessary blame.

jesus christ after this guy basically turned Embiid to mere mortal.

the coach is a moron, just accept it
Gasol played him well but be honest, a bum knee, the flu and chest infections turned Embiid into a mere mortal ....

My remembrance of the regular season was Brook torching us from three anyway.. I think he’s generally played above average against us. For everyone saying let him beat us... no. Let’s not.

you gotta pick your poison. If Lopez beats Raps then you shake his hand and wish them luck. Middleton and Giannis cannot have big games if we hope to win
ya ill live with it if lopez wins them this series rather then giannis. just saying that our defensive schemes on giannis will open it up for brook to have a big series.

I dunno man Lopez could have a big series. We were playing that 3-2 Zone anytime giannis was on the court. It worked amazing defending him but left open the shooters from outside. Most of the bucks starters were bricking those shots. But lopez seemed to hit any type of shot he was taking. He loves those deep curry range shots which really stretches out the 3-2 zone.

Gasol has been just as good a scorer as Lopez this playoffs...that is to say, they've both been bad. Lopez being the easy MVP of the game will not happen again

I've seen this suggestion a bunch of places. In game 1, Ibaka was a disaster in every lineup he was in, heavy in starters or not, at C or PF, going up against Giannis or not.

More Ibaka feels an awful lot like the sort of over-reaction that Casey frequently made, like last year against the Cavs when he bailed on the starters and basically threw the series after a tight game 1.

Now, maybe Ibaka is suddenly way better, but if he is going to play anything like game 1, starting him is not the answer.

after all those bricks and hesitations you still think he's that type of shooter? he needs variety in his offense. Otherwise we'll see more nights like this.

Maybe Ibaka would be a better option to start? Would probably do a better job on brook on the perimeter?

Lopez was laying major bricks in the Celtics series. Yeah sure, we could get more mid-range shots from Gasol. Forget about post-ups. He's never been good at those.

Yes, he is exactly that type of shooter. Gasol has been launching 4-5 threes per 36 consistenty since 2017, and hitting at a .360+ clip. What's 2-3 more threes per game? Just needs a coach to tell him to take them, rather than make a pretty swing pass to Pascal in traffic.

I would like to see Gasol post up against the non-Lopez Bucks. I think the Raps over-used the Gasol getting the ball at the elbow last night, cause they weren't doing anything other than the exact same handoff, which the Bucks defended well and usually just ended up with someone getting the ball at the top and good few feet beyond the arc. No pressure was created by that Gasol elbow handoff because he isn't good as a roll man anymore and the Bucks forced the ball so far away from the net off the handoff that no benefit was gained. A traditional pick and roll would have been more effective than running that elbow handoff over and over for no gain. Gasol is a great passer, but that talent is wasted if it's just a handoff play, might as well run that with Ibaka or Siakam instead so at least there is a threat of a roll man.

Why not? Nobody asked Brook Lopez to shoot 100 threes a game until this year, and look what happened. The more you shoot, the better rhythm you develop. The more it stretches the defense.
Hes obviously not that type of shooter
