Raptors Interested In Rashad McCants

Pros: Rashad McCants very smooth, athletic guard with an amazing feel for the game. He’s a player with great scoring instincts, makes great decisions and passes the ball extremely well for a shooting guard. HE has excellent quickness and terrific speed running the floor. McCants handles the ball very well and is adept at creating off the dribble. He has been compared to Gilbert Arenas.
Cons: The major knock against McCants is his size, but he has the talent to overcome the height deficiency.

um, i'm not quite sure. but, i would think one would know where stuff goes after 1496 posts and 78 threads created.
and it's a reality they are interested in mccants. not something im proposing. would you rather i post it in some other forum, so, you can be bored with absolutely no raptors news til the start of the season?
btw, the guy also tweeted he'd get nothing more than a training camp invite, so it doesn't mean that we are going to have to get rid of someone if he is signed by the raptors. If Your Uncle Jack Helped You Off An Elephant, Would You Help Your Uncle Jack Off An Elephant?

Jay takes minutes away from players, the players don't decide that. The Raptors managment have a plan and they're not exactly going to go out and sign a guy who hasn't been able to "get it" and throw him out there in place of guys they've pegged as "the future". If anything McCants is a young, high talent guy who could be stashed on the bench, monitored and one day given a chance when injuries or excessive fouls occur. At that point he either shines or flops. Worst case is you cut a guy without a guaranteed contract, best case is you add depth to your bench or an asset at the trade table. Given the status of said player right now I would deem him high potential if he reaches the best case scenario mentioned above.Last edited by Apollo; Thu Sep 23, 2010, 08:02 PM.
